Minimum TX & Relay Fee set to 1 DGB to prevent attacks

If this is for any transaction, no matter how many inputs, then this is a terrible idea...

My current miner setup: Linux - Ubuntu 12.04, Two 1.3Mh/s Scrypt ASICs, Two Radeon HD 7850 GPU mining different algos (usually qubit or skein).

If you sell in the 40's you deserve to lose your DGB stash people. Look where support was before the big pump...40-50 was huge support I don't see it going low than this. Long term holder and am scooping more so I don't mind but try to have a long term view. Keep a clear head, don't PANIC.

Wait for the 30 sat prices again, it's going to happen.

Really worth trying to sell in the 40's to get lucky and catch a spike in the 30's if on the off chance it happens? Just not smart imo when we've already seen how fast it can move. That type of greed will lose you coins.

Minimum TX & Relay Fee set to 1 DGB to prevent attacks

If this is for any transaction, no matter how many inputs, then this is a terrible idea...

As long as it comes to P&D, no one really cares about tx fees...

You *should* care about transaction fees. It has nothing at all to do with P&D.

Think of how a credit card works. You go buy something and use your CC, the retailer has to pay a fee to process that transaction. And, unless they are charging different prices for cash and credit items, they are absorbing that fee to make a sale to you.

The way DGB works now if you handle your wallet correctly using coin control to send payments, you will never pay transaction fees to use DGB.

With mandatory transaction fees, the consumer will be charged any time they want to use DGB to pay for something.

Hypothetically - what if DGB hit it's target of $1 per DGB. Would you want to pay an extra $1 fee any time you buy something? What happens then? People would never use DGB for small priced items. It wouldn't be worth it. How would you fix that - another update to the wallet to lower transaction fees? What happens if/when DGB goes mainstream and millions of people have DGB wallets, and it's decided to push out an update that requires millions of people to update their wallet (hard fork), do you honestly think that's going to happen?

My current miner setup: Linux - Ubuntu 12.04, Two 1.3Mh/s Scrypt ASICs, Two Radeon HD 7850 GPU mining different algos (usually qubit or skein).

Hard Fork @ Block 1430,000

* Changes occur @ block 143,000

Isn't is supposed to be 1,430,000?

Is there no proofreading? Formatting mistakes like this should NEVER happen.

This looks very unprofessional.

Don't reply to me and say "Calm down bogglor, it's just a typo" - I don't want to seem like I'm nitpicking every little thing, but if you want people to take DGB seriously there should never be *any* grammar/format/typo mistakes in announcements.

BTC has spiked 10% in one day, of course there is going to be some fluctuation in the market due to profit taking. If you're selling, I'm buying :p

Can the development team elaborate more on this point?

Not sure if I got a response to my question but what exactly does the above point mean? Is this something bitcoin does not have yet?

* Transaction propagation changes based upon Microsoft research

Can the development team elaborate more on this point?

Not sure if I got a response to my question but what exactly does the above point mean? Is this something bitcoin does not have yet?

This is the non hyped version of the changes.

* Changes occur @ block 143,000
* 15 Second Blocks
* MultiAlgo Difficulty adjustment code changed to make 51% attack much, much harder (See commit explanation) Thanks to MentalCollatz who did the change for myraidcoin first.

Big thanks to MentalCollatz for proposing the difficulty changes!

As for the transaction propagation changes, think of it like this. Before the hard fork a client will only relay a block onto its peers once it has been fully validated. This was a huge bottleneck in network propagation that Microsofts researchers identified. The new changes allow blocks to be received and relayed simultaneously. However, each client still conducts a full, proper set of checks for each block and TX without any decreased security risk. If a block is orphaned or found to be invalid a client will relay that to its peers.
