Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

And why I am happy the bonus blocks are gone (at first I wasn't): Below is a copy and paste (editted out miner names) of a very large mining pool (multiple coins) which is running a multipool script which allowed miners to jump to a certain coin only for certain times. As you can see they only mined the bigger blocks (and some incidental 1k blocks). Block Reward

Because "random" bonuses are not random and this fact is exploited by larger miners. Any coin worth a crap does or will have fixed block rewards. Even doge changed recently to a fixed system. |

my old wallet had some 160000 coins in it.
I backed it up of course, before I upgraded the wallet.
After the upgrade, my old 16000, are not there,
but some 5000 coins from recent mining suddenly appeared.
How can I get my old coins to appear ?

When did you mine/buy/get the 16000 coins you had before. If just recent I assume it was on the wrong chain and therefore they are not there anymore, while the 5000 you did not see before are now visible. |
