Hey Mike, The decision to update at block 107,500 to remove super / bonus blocks was made to give all miners an equal opportunity to mine USDe. We have observed that the superblock feature was exploited by multipools and pool hoppers, concentrating the higher payouts in the hands of a few. Yes, the superblocks are an interesting pool-payout randomizing feature, but we had to do away with them for the good of miners contributing smaller hash power. i believe big investors are waiting for that fork.. you guys better get some USDe as much as you can.

I fully agree with the super blocks going away even though at first I was disappointed with the idea  (I mean how good did it feel when your rig or your pool hit a 50k or 100k block) . But after some thinking, I'm sure it'll bring higher payouts for the little and middle sized miner-fish at the end of the day. And much easier predictability of what to expect in payouts when taking difficulty and the hash-rate of the pool.  |

I've witnessed quite a bit of confused/complaining miners trying to figure out why their expected payout was so far off from the actual payout. I believe once miners see they are getting the results they expect the network hash rate will rise back up to around 1.5 GH/s, then of course, the difficulty and price should follow. |
