Seriously though, the cost of buying one GH gets cheaper over time, because the expected return of 1 GH decreases over time. I don't think both have decreased at the same pace, mainly because the value of a Bitcoin relative to fiat has fallen.
Ah, so 60Gh in May cost .288 Btc but now costs .096 Btc. That's a decrease of about two thirds. However, the weekly payment is now about a third of what it was in may. Still sounds like treading water. I only made 4.5% so far this week. Had hoped for a ROI of 90 days, looks like it´s gonna be 100-110. Still way better than most of the cloud mining crap being promoted around here.

Payout is based on a standard calculator, sans variance. Usually when it changes sharply, we've hit another difficulty change.

Look at the graphs, hardware release timelines, electricity cost, etc. Nobody's going to give you the answer to this because nobody knows it [accurately]. Too many variables.

Making Apps and Websites for people. I charge reasonable rates ($30-40/hour in BTC).

prediction for next diff change or the ones after that is impossible here you have a simple site showing history and predictions according to calculations (variables as block times and network hash power changes constantly) https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty

Since the drop of BTC a lot of hardware has been switched off or replaced with other equipment.

There has not been a negative diff since Jan 23 2013 What comes to this round you can not predict it yet... still 12.6 days to go on this round and anything can happen during that time.

I think we will see the price of Bitcoin go further down this year, so I don't expect the difficulty to rise by a lot. Would be cool to see a decrease in difficulty for once, we deserve that

A lot of cloud operation got hit by the recent BTC fall. I've seen some complaints in other threads. I'm curious whether the industry can survive with these prices or will slowly go bankrupt one by one. If Bitcoin goes below $300 most of them will probably close down.

I don't really know why price of BTC is so unstable and low recently. There are nothing big going on in the big world out there. As cloud mining, you should not invest in long term contracts (5 year mining contracts!) Better find some short term reliable contracts you preferable can end any time you want.

I started to invest back in march knowing perfectly that the 5 year contract doesn´t really matter because the ROI in the first year if most important. Some contracts even reached positive ROI already as can be easyly seen in total payouts per GH The payout in some years is dust anyway.

Occasionally pop my head in here to show PB support. As one of their first customers bought 120gh/s back in January when that was a lot and now I'm sitting on 171% ROI.
