I dont see it. Is it listed as CNO instead of CON? I kinda like CNO, it doesn't roll off the tounge like CON but sounds way more "professional". CNO = Its got my vote! +1 would be easy changed before it hits a bunch of exchanges and the acronym wouldnt equal the spelling of a negative word. The question though, is whether CNO is taken or if that exchange just actually did list coino as CNO. If thats not coino then it looks like some other coin already has CNO. On the other hand I am fine with not having to change my subdomain and DNS settings from con to cno, not to mention all the forum links that would become broken. Ugh, good points! Never mind, lolz! Just evolve your thinking. Instead of CON relating to "CONartist" consider it to be more positive such as "CONstantly out performing all other Cryptocurrencies A few more Coino transactions CONsistantly out perform all others. CONtender for the 2014 Cryptocurrency of the year. The only coin CONservative investors would trust. The CONvenient coin for online transactions The coin everybody is having a CONversation about

Everyone is mining at dedicated, what happens if it forks, what is a fork, how do they occur & how can they be avoided? (besides balanced mining spread over many pools & solo miners)

Everyone is mining at dedicated, what happens if it forks, what is a fork, how do they occur & how can they be avoided? (besides balanced mining spread over many pools & solo miners) A fork is when the block chain is branched off into separate blockchains. This doesn't happen automatically but anyone that has over 51% of the net hashrate can do this if they so choose. It would essentially split coino into coino 1 and coino 2. If this happens, everyone has to update their wallets to get back on the same block chain and anyone that was mining coins on the other block chain between the time of the branch and everyone updating their wallets will lose everything they mined during that time period. Even without forking there are other things that holding over 51% of the hashrate could allow such as preventing solo miners or miners from other pools from ever finding valid blocks, reversing transactions, double-spending etc.. Again, this has to be done with malicious intent but it is better for a crypto coin to not ever be in a position where any 1 person can take it down. The owner of dedicatedpool has temporarily closed registrations in order to get the hashrate more evenly spread out which I feel shows that he has every intention on doing what is best for the coin and not taking any ill-advantage of his control of the network. I wouldn't worry about anything bad happening right now but people just need to try and spread out which will keep confidence in the coin high and guarantee that the currency can't possibly be harmed by anyone. I haven't done the math so I don't have exact numbers but there reaches a certain point where it doesn't even make sense anymore to mine at the pool with the most miners. There are a finite amount of blocks (1 every 25 seconds). Even if the top pool held 100% of the hashrate, they wont possibly find anymore than 1 block every 25 seconds. But you sure will split those blocks up between a ton of people. At a mid-sized pool you will likely find blocks slower, but you will take a larger share of each block. Theoretically, you should earn the same at both pools, as long as the smaller pool is actually finding blocks at a regular pace. So if you are making the same amount of coins by huddling together in one pool, or spreading out among multiple pools, why not spread out and provide security and stability to the network? There is no point in having all of these coins unless everyone does what is best for the value of the coin. In the case of net hashrate, that means spreading out.

Well stated my man It is highly unlikely that dedicatedpool would do anything to harm coin(O) as it would not be in his interest at all.

Everyone is mining at dedicated, what happens if it forks, what is a fork, how do they occur & how can they be avoided? (besides balanced mining spread over many pools & solo miners) Honestly I feel the owner of Dedicated should close the registration and leave it closed for more than a day. I mine on his pool (But I stopped mining today to give my GPU's a break from running non stop for over a week) and I check my account a couple times a day and it seems that the registration only gets closed for a day then next day it is open again. I think once it was closed for about 2 days. If he would keep it closed for longer then the miners would be more spread out, & I honestly don't understand why he doesn't when dedicated pool as of right now has 440 mh/s out of the networks 480 mh/s and usually has over half of the network as well. Dedicated also has a 2% fee which is the highest out of the pools since the others I've seen get posted on here have a 0.5% or 1% fee, So in all honesty closing the registration for 3-5 days maybe even a week to spread the miners out wouldn't hurt the pool because at the peak times of the network dedicated pool hit over 800 mh/s if I remember correct.

Whhooo Hhoooo poolers.org is now 111Mh/s I feel a giveaway coming people as we have now hit his 100Mh/s barrier.... Yeahhhhh, bring it on I am a man of my word. You guys have far exceeded my expectations and I appreciate how quickly people have adopted poolers.org. I am going to take a little time to plan out the first contest for the Steam video game reward. We just got a member that started mining at almost 30 MH/s by themselves so whether they stick around or not is going to impact the design of the contest. If I were to do something like whoever finds the most blocks in x amount of time, that person would pretty much automatically win. While I do think that higher hashing power should give you better odds, I would like to give everyone a chance at winning. Give me some time to see that this is a sustained hashrate and to put together some details of a contest that will interest everyone and then I will come back with an announcement. Who knows, maybe while I am working the details out the pool will grow so much that I will be giving away the xbox bundle instead of just a video game. Stay tuned!
