This user is currently ignored.

I don't know what BS our Icetroll is spreading today, but his crazy hateful presence is quite funny regarding the obvious 12.1 success. Please go on barking from your dark, filthy corner.

About 800 MN's seems to be running 0.12.1 now.
I think it would be good to speed up the upgrading to 0.12.1 a little bit by increasing the random payout chance a bit for masternodes that are already have upgraded.

Bitsane Exchange Platform Now Supports AdvCash, DASH and Iconomi Transactions
https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/bitsane-exchange-platform-now-supports-advcash-dash-and-iconomi-transactions/

Great news, we have a new exchanges supports DASH, the more exchanges the better, the higher decentralization the coin is. Maybe this bitsane, the new exchange will attract tons of DASH traders.

You changed your tone aSSBREAKER.

In other words, you have no explanation for why IPv6 is broken...
...Dash has no IPv6 support despite being forked from Bitcoin, which fully supports it.

Because bitcoin doesn't have Masternodes, just simple wallets-nodes?
And I admit, I'm not technically qualified to answer this question. You probably are not qualified to even ask.

...Pretending this is no big deal...

Don't worry, our great team have priorities and will address that in the near future. It will be done in no time.

If the only contribution to the thread you can make is an ambiguous comment on my "tone" and a silly insult, I feel sorry for you.

LOL  Cheesy. Do I want to "contribute to the thread"? If this is how you Moronos see what it takes to make improvements to your project, then I can understand your arrogant, obnoxious, aggressive, self righteous community of trolls trashing other coins and other posters, actively looking for more psychopaths to do this work for Monero. Congratulations  Cheesy

This thread? It's for amusement seeing you psychos-desperados here.

I, on the other hand, try as much as I can contribute to the Project.
You contribute sometimes to this project with criticism, wchich is great for Dash. Thanks

Why weren't Masternodes allowed to vote on whether or not to disable IPv6 and thereby kick 140 of their own off the network?
Is that how "distributed democracy by blockchain" is supposed to work?

Masternodes should be allowed to annonce ipv4 addresses only from now

What's that when you kick 140 IPv6 Masternodes and leave 4100 Masternodes working flawlessly on IPv4?
Kicking 4100 IPv4 Masternodes would obviously be your way to do this. Yeah, ban Americans not the illegals.

Why don't you try addressing the content of my post instead of straining to hear tones over the internet and calling childish names?
Your words Cheesy

...craptastic, diffuseness, Scamfield...

There isn't much to address. How can you address an idiot contributing trolling 24/7 for 3 years to the project supposedly he doesn't like?
Maybe this is your way of contributing to projects you admire.

PS.
Did you get excited about big achievement like inceasing 50x single monero TX (oh, usefulness) and your dev fluffyponzi (Ricardo Spagni) stealing xmr from his own site mymonero??

Stick to your vandalism agenda. Sterile environment woldn't be much of a help for any project.

It is easier to be an aggressive victim than to be a free man.

You forgot to accuse him of using "attack the attacker" antiphons in response to your dulcet internet timbre resonating from the new "IPv4 vs IPv6" brand of  exposition you've opened up.

I myself am not technically qualified enough to do an appraisal on that subject, but I am quite musical so will listen with interest and see what elucidative harmonics I can dig Wink

Yeah, it seems his new song is "IPv4 vs IPv6".
I never liked the POP shite music but when aSSBREAKER started with his best single "instamine" 3 years ago, I fall in love with this music.
It's new, better Lady Gaga FFS

Ps. Dash 12.1 transition seems to be flawless. Slack is on fire this week.
Congratulations to Dash's dev team and all contributors.

It is easier to be an aggressive victim than to be a free man.

Yes very pleasant to the eyes, great work all around!

If you want to get the number of mns on 12.1 just put ENABLED in the filter box Wink

I see 4056 here:
https://www.dash.org/network/#section-network

That graph includes also the older masternodes. Have a look at:

https://www.dashninja.pl/

and type "0.12.1" in the filter

What does WATCHDOG_EXPIRED mean ?

Is that because my cheapskate hardware platform running the node isn't up to scratch ?

The pie chart at the bottom also shows that significant number of mns on version 12.1 look like they have different protocols

Some tutorials say to set sentinel cron job to 5 minutes ( */5*** etc) but that has proven to be too long.  Set it for 2 minutes */2*** etc to keep it from expiring.

How does the protocol not change?  It should be automatic in the new download??  Weird.

p2pool code updated to version "e8d4618" https://github.com/dashpay/p2pool-dash, it works with the daemon 0.12.1.
My node http://crypto.office-on-the.net:7903/static/ works fine.
The owners, just update your nodes.

How to properly set it up?

Should it be run as root or user?

*/5 * * * *   root    cd /home/YOURUSERNAME/.dashcore/sentinel && ./venv/bin/python bin/sentinel.py  2>&1 >> sentinel-cron.log
*/5 * * * *   MNuser    cd /home/YOURUSERNAME/.dashcore/sentinel && ./venv/bin/python bin/sentinel.py  2>&1 >> sentinel-cron.log

It did not create the sentinel-cron.log until I run it manualy as user in console.

Make sure, if your cron is written like that, that sentinel is indeed installed in .dashcore (the sentinel folder)  Some instructions put it in /home/yourusername/sentinel

*/2 * * * * cd /home/YourUserName/.dashcore/   etc...  You need it to point to where your .dashcore folder is  You don't need to put in anything else, crontab -e is always a cron job run by the user who is logged in.

Kot is presenting in London at ICE (NO!  NOT our Icy troll) https://www.dash.org/forum/threads/ice-total-gaming-london-dash-presentation-today-7th-feb.13005/

And despite this graphic showing all the planes landing somewhere in Normandy or otoh's island, they in fact all landed safely and all participants have arrived safely and on time  Smiley

I can not get past the first step on my Mac OSX. I have deleted ALL the .dat files except wallet.dat, so I have the following files in: /Users/user1/Library/Application Support/Dashcore

folder: backups
folder: blocks
folder: chainstate
folder: database
file: dash.conf
file: dashd
file: masternode.conf
file: wallet.dat

I start the new 12.1 and I always get: "Failed to load masternode cache from mncache.dat"

I have tried to follow both set of instructions but can't get past this error

You may need to close the wallet and delete it again, i did, i'm on windows 10.
I also renamed the original folder from dash to dash.old after i copied it.

I followed the instructions and deleted the mncache.dat file and get an error:

"Failed to load masternode cache from mncache.dat"

https://i.imgur.com/kKgt2sR.png

maybe this can help:

https://www.dash.org/forum/threads/mnpayments-dat-error.12987/

same problem here. i had to delete mncache.dat and mnpayments.dat, now it is working.

just don't delete wallet.dat, back that file up!

Are you using Dash-Qt? Was there a dialog asking for the folder at first 12.1 qt start? If not, try starting it with -choosedatadir option (open Terminal, type "/Applications/Dash-Qt.app/Contents/MacOS/Dash-Qt -choosedatadir", hit Enter) and make sure it's pointing to the new "DashCore" folder, not to the old one ("Dash").

I couldn't remember why I had poster Johann-Schmidt on Ignore.

Must have been this post in the Dash ANN thread a few weeks back:

"XMR is far superior to DASH and as you can see has now reached $12.57,- at the time of writing this. XMR offers real privacy and anonymity and will soon have I2P integrated. XMR is a real contender to Bitcoin and now also has a nice GUI wallet. DASH is neither private nor anonymous and does not seem to have that as a focus."

Seems like he's changed his mind.
