Please address the unresolved issue of Dash claiming to be decentralized while relying on unspecified engineers, rather than block height, to trigger a hard fork.

Did Masternodes vote to put anonymous engineers in charge of deciding fork timing, or was it a unilateral move by Evan.....

"In the future, as the team has expressed in our slack and elsewhere, those keys will be put into the hands of the network enabling the Masternodes to control enforcement, decentralizing the decision to spork the network. For now the advantages outweigh the hazards, of which we are aware"

the instamine issue was always portrayed here as an accident...but I'm putting "MOTIVE" on the table here  Wink

Why would he use his real name instead of a fake nickname and then not just dump and become a millionaire early on? Then he could just start a new coin as another anon dev if he wanted. He could do a premine like other anon devs and then sell the premine like XC and bounce. I await your new conspiracy theory that evan is a time traveler and knew of the future success of dash. Almost all of the other anon coins that were around back then have failed.

Also, if you were part of dash since the darkcoin days you would know evan was always in a hurry to push out new releases before they were 100% bug free. That's just his get it done nature, it caused many issues early on but they were all promptly handled and here we are.
Now with a larger market cap and full team things are much more thoroughly tested before being released.

of course there is zero information, it was an interview not some geek laboratory/tutorial stuff. I just said Dash is a fork and private send is a fork...and forking means inheriting what's also in bitcoin and coin join...you didn't get the picture do you?

i called it a lame-ass manual because just looking at these is quite funny, you know that is a lame ass technology too.

now.. back to Evan
...

OMFG. You can quit hurting your brain with making up arguments like these and just reply with "I don't like Dash" to every post. This will deliver the same amount of information Wink

1. There is zero information on them breaking CoinJoin either so it doesn't prove anything. I assume they just work together with honeypot mixer operators or use some flaws in certain implementations. If there are some known flaws in Dash privacy implementation, post them here.

2. I agree, it's not perfect, but it is as easy as it gets. If thinking several hours ahead and making 2 extra mouse clicks is "lame-ass" for you then I can't help you and you better not use crypto at all. And you must already be having trouble with planning your personal finances using regular money.

3. Changing the topic to instamine means you agree that "deceptively hidden" was not true, ok Smiley But you can quote Evan telling about MNs to prove that he was hiding them again, it's fun.

The instamine may have been intentional, maybe not. But hiding information on masternodes? WTF?

No one gives a fuck about the bugged fastmine except the haters that got in too late and now are butthurt they didn't profit off the amazing technology Evan has invented. Notice how all they ever wanna talk about is the coin launch, not the mind-blowing features that are being developed and going to change the world of finance? Yeah, it's pathetic first class faggotry.

Those haters never have and never will create anything in their low lives.

Looks like iCEHOLE is angry his IPv6 node can't connect anymore.

Missing your payments much? Don't be too butthurt about that. You got plenty of shit to be mad about on the other part of your portfolio: Manuro isn't gonna see any mobile integrations anytime soon thanks to RingCT being a complete trainwreck which, next to being horribly implemented, exacerbates the disgusting unscalability Moronero had from the get go. Watch out for an in-depth interview about that very soon!

Since you love to appeal to perceived authority and have quoted your beloved theymos for endorsing your failing shitcoin, you might like this:

EPIC LULZ! How do you like dem apples?

Shown already that's not even the biggest problem for Trollero!

Please make some more collapse predictions for Dash that are unwittingly going to apply to XMR!

NEVER FORGET:

Are you ready for a good laugh, guys?

Riccardo Spagni aka OneTrickPony puts ignorance over a "minor detail", I would say, onto full display here:

No, Ric*, it's definitely not "[residing] in a single address". The whole point of mixing coins would be ruined if they'd be put all back together into one single address after mixing. They remain mixed the entire time with hundreds of denominated outputs which are, for all intents and purposes, impossible to backtrace and ready to be spent anonymously. We're still waiting for you to de-anonymize this transaction btw.

You wanna tell the world how unsecure Dash is, but you are neither able to break any of its features nor do you even grasp the most basic concepts of its privacy model. You are a pathetic failure of an attack dog and Risto should stop paying your puny trolling attempts immediately after this humiliation.

Should've stuck with wine tasting instead of being a stewardess for the plane crash that is Manuro, Ricky.

What a joke.

That stewardess is btw suspected to have stolen thousands upon thousands of XMR that people stored on his completely, disgustingly centralized, horribly programmed, bug-ridden, completely broken "MyMonero" shitcoin webwallet.

Of course he called it "MyMonero", because as soon you store it there it's no longer yours.

Quote from: Fluffyponzi
Monero is significantly easier to steal than other cryptocurrencies because you have free reign once stolen - no need to disguise your theft. Individual Monero users are also a much larger target than almost anything else, as there aren't lots of exchanges or custodial services. Finally, MyMonero is a particularly soft target because your private key is literally used to login.

Big shout out to all our trolls!

WINNING!

now...after all this shills appearing around, did anyone of these bitches answered if Evan did really hide the "masternode concept" before launching and after 1 month since this shitcoin is launched?

You do understand that masternodes were a game-theory outgrowth of preventing mixing nodes from being sybil-attacked, right?

my question is about DASH beginnings, and when the "marternodes concept" (hoarding and locking 1000 coins per masternode) was deceptively hidden from the public's eye by Evan and co. ...

i'm not asking about how these masternodes works.

As issues arise (sybil attack vector), solutions are created (invested mixing nodes, collateral etc). And then the concept can evolve to include more than that - like masternodes doing more stuff, like instant X, etc etc. And in a year or two, they might do even more when new functionalities are envisioned and implemented. That's how things get done.

I'm sorry to hear that as we did commit to a specific date in the official announcement of 12.1 and Amanda repeated that date
in her YouTube show as well.

Now we have an extra delay in having our budget proposals up and running and have missing MN payments because payment enforcement is still off.

There really is no big rush as 91% of miners are on 12.1 and paying properly (which fits nicely into the theory that only 10% of the human population lacks morality)  True, they're getting away with theft, but it's not crippling the network, and we have to go through this every time we spork, so no surprise.

It's more important that things go smoothly.  And right now, it's the Masternode Network that is being sluggish and not upgrading.  The strange thing is that they're not getting paid more often or anything, and they're prolonging the enforcement date.  The only reason I can see for this is that they're unaware that we're sporking.  It's been a long time since we've had to do anything with our Masternodes, it may be that they've stopped keeping track on what's up.  Frankly, I'm surprised at this situation.

Spork enforcement #10 has been turned on, and no masternode on older version will be paid.

Could of course be that some have yet to understand how to upgrade or that others are not in the position to upgrade at this time due to trips, family matters or whatever. If someone does not have their cold wallet available, they cannot issue the masternode start commands even if the VPS clients are updated and ready. It was pretty much the same last time around, remember the fork a half year ago (?) that was caused to the network being on different clients prior to 0.12.0.58?

Give it some time and those not yet on the new 12.1 will get onboard shortly, they have the economic incentive to do so Smiley

everybody please remember
this is bigger than your or my MN payments by now

we are running a 100 Mill + Network and have to maintain and support our Merchants , 3rd Parties,... and whatnot

No idea where Amanda got her date from
but as far as i know she did not check with the team - as usually they/we do not give a out a date

everybody please remember
this is bigger than your or my MN payments by now

we are running a 100 Mill + Network and have to maintain and support our Merchants , 3rd Parties,... and whatnot

No idea where Amanda got her date from
but as far as i know she did not check with the team - as usually they/we do not give a out a date

Yah, I'm not advocating that we rush anything, there is no need, I'm just curious what is causing MNs to be so slow?  Is it the complexity (not really hard if you follow the tutorials) or are the MN owners not paying attention?  And yes, I hope we have ways to see how merchants are doing, so they experience no disruptions Smiley  Just speculating here Tungfa, not complaining ... at least not complaining about the system Cheesy

12.1 info
The Network is doing well (update)
- Miners are at 100%
- Masternodes around 77%
but Merchants ,Exchanges ,3rd Parties ,.... still need time ,so there is NO rush to switch Enforcement back on again - no date is set yet ; )
(as we do NOT wanna leave anybody behind)

I'm guessing the masternode owners who haven't upgraded will do it quicker once they notice payments have stopped.

I'm worried it's not greed, but simply inattentiveness that is the cause of this Tongue  There may be a lot of people that set this and forgot about it!  They don't check on their MNs or something???  What other purpose could there be?  My nodes have all been paid OK, so I can't imagine they're getting paid more often.  So... what other explanation could there be?

Could of course be that some have yet to understand how to upgrade or that others are not in the position to upgrade at this time due to trips, family matters or whatever. If someone does not have their cold wallet available, they cannot issue the masternode start commands even if the VPS clients are updated and ready. It was pretty much the same last time around, remember the fork a half year ago (?) that was caused to the network being on different clients prior to 0.12.0.58?

Give it some time and those not yet on the new 12.1 will get onboard shortly, they have the economic incentive to do so Smiley

Who is required to update?

It is imperative that ALL users of the dash client update to the most recent version of the client as soon as possible. End users, miners, pool operators, exchanges, and masternode owners have until Sunday, February 12th to update. After that date, we will switch completely to the new version as soon as our engineers determine it is safe to do so, and older versions of the software will drop off the network.

At this point i would like to know which exchanges/third party's have not upgraded yet and if there are plans to re-evaluate our communication methods with them as their update is appearently vital for us to move forward.

I would also like to know when the budget proposals will enter the 12.1 system as community members will also need time to have their own budget proposals re-entered.
I assume most of them are waiting for enforcement "on" to have their budget proposals re-entered in the 12.1 system.

Hey guys. Smiley

First of all, congratulations on the incredibly smooth transition to 12.1. KUDOS to the team and everyone else involved, very well done. Got my dozen of nodes updated in no time, thanks to the well-written guides of Tao and Moocownmoo: fantastic effort guys!

Does anybody know who's responsible for the website https://dash-news.de/dashtv/? I would love to get in touch with that person, a PM would suffice.

Thank you!
