I just read a Darkcoin whitepaper from march 2014 that talks about masternodes and Darksend/privatesend, supposedly there is another white paper before that but i don't have it. Either way, I bought my first Darkcoins in march 2014 for .55 cents because of the privacy focus not masternodes. You or anyone else could have bought cheap dash back then too, hell you could have bought around a year ago for ~$2. Sorry you missed out and are now butthurt. Stop complaining and Buy now before you have to pay $100 a year from now. Dump your monero, buy Dash, thank me later.

march 2014, i think that's the time where i tried to mine darkcoins, and for just 2 months i've seen that it is already too late to grab some, why? because Evan forked darkcoin from 84M to 21M, i haven't research then the Xcoin beginnings..but when i've seen some info about it..its over. no more darkcoins for me bye bye.

so you are saying there is a whitepaper that says he is masternoding darkcoins since or before launch? i like to see them here.

Did you check your masternode tab on the new qt wallet where you have your masternode.conf?

Heh - I checked it a day or two back, marveled at its elegance, and then forgot all about it. Looking at it again now I saw it reporting "status ENABLED" while the wallet was syncing, then "WATCHDOG EXPIRED" once it synced. I pressed the "Start Alias" button (hey, this is way easier than doing it with console commands) and got a message that the MN had started. My earlier attempts through the console had all reported failure to start. The "WATCHDOG EXPIRED" status is still on (needs a mouseover explanation?) and the masternode.me stats still say don't say 12.1 a few minutes and refreshes later, but I think things may be OK. I'll keep an eye on it. Now to do my other 100 MNs (I wish).

Thanks, oly1. Some of that is what I'd hope to see in a popup, so people don't have to chase down a link. A question that doesn't have to be asked doesn't have to be answered, kind of thing.         

I think some of the specific content (re Sentinel) doesn't seem to apply to people who use moocowmoo's remote MN hosting service though - I may be wrong - that's my central issue, actually.

In any case, I'll wait a while (Sunday?) then check my status with moocowmoo if it doesn't sort itself out before then.

On your masternode.me page, what do you see by "dashd." If you see: dashd v0.12.01.00 then he has upgraded your remote server. If it says dashd v0.12.00.58 then he has not yet done so, and there isn't anything you can do until he does.

Understand that the only reason why he didn't upgrade some is because he is waiting for a payment.  Upgraded MNs go to the back of the line, so he wants to do the best for his clients.  Also, BTW, he did a ton of work to make sure everyone else could update without hitch.  I'm sure they'll all be updated soon

Looks like Dash is solidifying on rank 6 and is slowly climbing to rank 5
on coinmarketcap... i like it  

There is still one thing that could really shake things up : ETF possibly getting approved 11th of march 2017,
which could drive the Bitcoin price up and puts all the altcoins (including Dash) under additional sell pressure again.

I hope this happens!  I don't see Dash going under sell pressure, or at least I see Dash as holding or increasing the USD price as Bitcoin's price rises, but what do I know?  My fingers are crossed that they don't delay this  decision again.  I suspect their only choices are accept or delay, I don't see how they can refuse.

Bad Ceti!  Bad!  I've had the mermaid on ignore for years now, and you made me see something I must respond to.  It (the mermaid thing) claims that the reduction in total supply of coins effected how hard it was to mine back in March 2014.  This is not true.  The first time it had and effect was in January 2015, where there was a reduction of ~7% of rewards.  Ultimately, the reduction in rewards mirrors Bitcoin, only on a smoother scale.  It reduces 1/14 of payouts roughly each year and Bitcoin reduces by half every 4 years.  The calculations are basically the same after 4 years with Dash.  But regarding mining in March, 2 months after launch, there was no change caused by the vote to reduce mining rewards ~7% each year.
