We go back to February 2017, but with more float, that is, more dilution, many more options on the market, and few real new things on the table.

They are things that happen. Sometimes we make the right decisions and other times we don't. We can blame the market, but realistically, we know that we have done really badly.

With that being said, I really wish you all the best, but understand that no one is going to invest or buy Dash today for anything other than speculation. We will see how important this platform that was previously called EVO is, but if it does not achieve a real and constant demand for Dash, I assure you that we will see the $10 during 2023 or maybe before.

Disagree.  A common mistake in this space is to compare coins like Dash and Bitcoin with LUNA, Terra, FTT, BNB, SOLana and other such scams.  Those coins have massive premines/pre-sales to VC, can be printed at will without consensus and are used to collateralise risky bets that invariably come under pressure in bear markets, when they do they go to zero.  Dash and Bitcoin are different, they have a finite supply, fixed emission schedule, are not used to collaterlise risky bets by the coin's own creators.  These will coins will hold their value and return to high valuations when the stampede out of the market ends.

This is a great opportunity for Dash as the market is doing what it must do which is purge itself of the rubbish tokens thus allowing the OG coins to flourish once again.

I don't want anyone to misunderstand me. I've tried dozens of coins and Dash is my priority for payment, but that won't make us any better than the rest. LTC does it well, DOGE... I want to make the holders and the MNs of which I am a part understand that if we want to change something out there, we have to change something in here.

IF I have $1,000, what would encourage me to exchange it for Dash?

Can I play video games with Dash?, can I watch Netfix with Dash?, can I access VPN?, cloud?, many ATMs?... no, I can't, since I need an intermediary like bitrefill or others. Therefore Dash is not a means of payment accepted anywhere, nor is it a store of value, nor does it serve me to access a smart contract...

I agree that there is a lot of garbage in the crypto markets, and time will take care of that little by little, but we are only concerned with adding value to Dash.

I always remember we were 5X the price of Monero not that long ago, and look at Monero now and look at Dash. Monero simply focused on its goal, to be a private currency.

Dash focused on many goals and barely met any of them.

We have not died, but we are dying, so let us rise from our ashes once again.

Let's deliver that platform and show that it's more than just a waste of time and money.

@pang, you made a good point about Dash not focusing on one thing like Monero did, many of us are upset that Dash did not more aggressively promote its privacy features and thus lost market share.  The ironic thing is that coinjoin (privatesend) has been constantly worked on and improved and is working better than ever and even coming to mobile soon!  We just dropped the narrative because under previous management, they were too scared to stand up for holder's rights.  Good news is management changed.

Is Dash still alive? Lot of payment processors like Coinbase commerce.coinbase.com or Poof poof.io, Paypal, Square, etc don't accept Dash anymore for payments.

It's had a pretty big fall from grace since 2017 although it's still on a few exchanges.

It's not FUD it's the facts.  Unlike some of you I was there when the coin was launched.  I saw it first hand.  It was a common method used in the early days to get a premine and then blame it on a difficulty glitch while massive amounts of coins are mined in the beginning by a few people.  Just read the first few pages of this thread.  It doesn't matter anymore anyway and I made a fortune off this coin so I really don't give a damn.  But to deny the facts is just ignorant.

I compiled the exe for Windows... no blocks yet, just a bazillion rejects.

Any chance you could upload that windows client exe? I'd be willing to throw 5k XCO at you. Just make sure it's the latest source from github

It is not possible to recover a password from a wallet. Or at least it shouldn't be possible.

If you have a mobile Wallet and want to crack the pin... that is easy do able with a brute froce bot/script.
I don't understand why they made the pin mandatory for the mobile wallet. All this does is that ppl will forget it and have to crack it after and because you can crack it it is entierly pointless to force user to have it. Who had this stupid idea!?

Dash devs working hard to push the Platform aka Evolution soon. Hopefully on mainnet before first half of the year even though if all goes well end of Q1. We will see.

I had to do a critical fast transaction lately (time limited) and figured out that the destination supports all sorts of altcoins but Dash coin. So sad Dash had been perfect for that.
So I tired litecoin and the transaction failed to make it in time. Value lost. No drama it wasn't a big amount. I ended up using a converter to doge coin and sending doge just to be sure it makes it in time although I never possesed any doge coins.

Also I used CoinJoin.. it is a long time since I used that and I figured that there is a problem for a user like me that after a time forgets certain restrictions.

Despite haveing a lot more in mixed coins it refused to send with autocalculated transaction fees.
So no biggy I switched to manual..but then it failed because it said it can't match the value with the mixed coins.

Took me a time to remember that in that case I will have to create a new internal address and send a mixed value that works to it and then send from that address.

So maybe this could be improved (automated?) for the user because honestly this can only be done by someone that has a better base knowledege in crypto and wallets.

Will Evolutions really come out this year after beeing anounced for years and years?  And don't you think that it is too late for that already? Dash is gone from various coin accepting shops. So how should it happen that it becomes listed and used again? Just my thoughts. Not blameing anyone.

Dash is up 3% the last 24 hours and up 24% the last week with total marketcap of $700 million. It has been on a 'bull run' since January being up 43% last month.

Also in the month of January transaction volume spiked by 126%. It is up about 135% from its lowest cycle as it continues to be in a 'bullish' trend.
