X11-asic is coming, not a good sign for DRK. Sad Sad

Why? That's fantastic news if true.

I would love to have a small USB ASIC that can mine X11 more efficiently than a whole rack of GPUs...

(if true) the fact that a manufacturer is willing to fund, research and develop ASICs for a specific coin tells you how valuable they think this coin is.

I doubt an ASIC would be developed just for DRK but there are many other X11 coins now so it makes more sense.

Where is all the proof that ASICs are coming or FPGAs are mining... not seeing it. So far these have all been speculation and rumors.

You doubt that there are people mining X11 with FPGA's?

Yep, until proven otherwise. I'm not going to spread BS for the sake of spreading BS.

So where is your proof?

Except if you are a day-trader expecting 20% down this Week-end, stop telling the worst phrase ever : "When DRK is open-source, reviewed and RC5 released, DRK will soar"

Let's study what is the immediate effect on different kinds of people :

- Noob's point of view : "It won't rise until centuries, I want to be rich in a month time, let's find another copycoin with better timeframe"
- Twitter guru : "sell, no point to talk of DRK to my 3000 followers, they are doing nothing bankable until 2015, I cant earn money with a panic buy"
- Day-Trader : "I can buy for less in a week, sell 10K DRK on Mintpal
- Technical Analyst : Sell, the first pump is over, the trend is blablabla
- Experimented trader : "good coin, but sell because of all the things above"
- Honnest DRK holder : "Wow, it is the best coin, I buy more at these cheap prices. Let's borrow some money or use kids savings"

Then again
- Honnest DRK holder: "Why I am becoming poorer ? Why did I buy at 0.02 ? Why ddin't I sell at 0.1 ?...Kids won't go to college..."
- Day-trader : "I was right, I have 15K DRK with only 1K a few months ago."
- (Ancient) noob : "I made 50 % more with the other coin, and there is no news here since !!! I fully support the other coin now (becoming honnest other coin holder) "
- Twitter guru : DRK is still alive ?
- Experimented trader : "good coin, but sell again because of all the things above"

Everytime people write "As soon as...", "Hold until review, RC5, open-source,whatever", "2015", "long term", they are just making smart people flee from DRK, especially the few who can make a difference in price.

Please ban these words :
- I use DRK everyday for basic privacy reason, no need to say "In 2015..."
- By the way, it won't soar when open-source, reviewed and RC5 released, stop lying to noobs. They are loosing confidence and will support other coins.

Conclusion, no other altcoin will ever have a chance. Each new coin will maybe have a organiced pump to scam noobs and thats all the altcoingame offers until there is no noob over and whale eats whale.

Well since I don't physically have one and the people that do are not sharing you'll just have to use common sense to determine that someone has been able to program an FPGA for X11 mining.

When people are willing to pay for something it usually gets done.

lol, that doesn't mean anything. Anyone can post an ad online looking for someone to complete the job. Doesn't mean they will find someone. Good detective work Inspector.

There is also the echo chamber effect prevalent in many coin threads.  You get the guys that attack anyone for questioning anything.  They call them "weak hands"  if they don't want to hold for some unknown long term point in time.  Just in this thread the people that were most vocal are the early adopters that got cheap coins early.  They are still in profit even at this price.  Anyone that bought and held  mid May is underwater right now despite having plenty of exit points.  It's too bad that they got manipulated into holding their coins while those telling them to hold and hyping the coin were selling for mass profits.

This chart says it all:

All we've been hearing from these same people for the last three months is Hold Hold Hold while the price went Down Down Down.  It's not surprising that people have lost all faith.  Especially considering the abusive nature these people have exhibited towards anyone questioning anything or voicing valid concerns, or raising any doubt.

The people that truly invested in this coin invested because of the direction of the project. People on a weekly basis are seeing the progress being made. Sure, no argument that price has slumped and it certainly didn't help that there were poor releases but woah is life. Bitcoin had similar extreme moves, both to the upside and downside. Does that mean you don't hold BTC either? We get it, you're a trader. Good for you. Some of us are looking at the larger picture for what marketshare is out there waiting for a viable, privacy-centric coin.

Enforcement is working on testnet right now! Thinks are looking good.

And those investment conclusions a few posts back are myopic at best. And give too little credit to people, there is an advantage to having a legitimate and competent work group, smart investors will support Darkcoin.  Let people get in now, these are fair and attractive prices without much speculation built into them that is a safer entry point for newcomers.

Check this out, a transaction from the latest version of Darksend on testnet using 3 peers. As posted by eduffield @darkcointalk.org

Quote from: eduffield, post: 20436, member: 104
Checkout a denominated transaction with 3 peers. It's pretty crazy. Can you imagine 4 or 5?:

Shojayx, that was actually quite a sensible post.
Nevertheless it is still just a fishing attempt on freelancer website carried out by the same person. Interesting but not a proof.
I have also placed some projects on freelancer which later turned out to be much more difficult than originally intended.. But who cares, it only cost about 3$ to put one of these up.

Crypto cancer back, again?

Cancer?

Don't you know by now that everytime I post the price for DRK goes up?

But back to one of the points I made in a few posts up regarding people being attacked for being anything but 100% Cheerleader.

I raised some valid points regarding X11 FPGA's and pointed out the fact that the most vocal people telling people to hold are the early adopters.  And because of that I'm cancer.  I could go on and call you names but I won't.  You know the same things I do.  I just talk about them while you and the rest pretend they don't exist.
