Guys, I need some advice. I currently hold 11 GOXBTC at Bitcoin Builder. Today, I received an email from the management of the site stating that they would offer to buy my GOXBTC for .11 BTC each. The email stated that they were confident that the actual payout would be higher, and that it could be payed out as soon as September.

So, since I would immediately change this BTC for DRK, should I take this offer and buy DRK now, or should I wait and risk DRK appreciating more than the anticipated future value of GOXBTC, thereby defeating the purpose of waiting?

A dilemma.

I have to go now, but I will read your responses later.

You are looking to get back between 1(min) - 3(max) Bitcoin.
Sounds in my opinion not like a high amount to risk... doesnt matter what you are willing to do. To get 11 Bitcoins back would be awesome.  Lips sealed

...
A dilemma....

Tao, I dont know much about that coin but as a possible analogy, I bought 10 mastercoin for a whole bitcoin at .1 each hoping they might reach parity one day, after the launch of maidsafecoin, the price started to plummet (in fact someone on this thread pointed it out I think). I bailed on most of it when the price was .08, and in hind sight I am glad I pulled out (had 3 left which are now worth over 10 times less and cant even be bothered to follow it now, plus technicals are shoddy as hell).
At the time each mastercoin could buy 10 darkcoin, now its the other way round, in fact more even than that. In my experience a bird in the hand together with awesome technicals (instantX, darksend, masternodes and more) is  more important than what might come up in the future based on promises mayhaps-particularly in crypto land!. Though am understand its fun to have a little hedge on other coins, I do myself, but I don't take most them seriously and only hold tiny amounts for play on exchanges because I consider them high risk.
In fact, for fun, I am willing to bet you 0.1 darkcoin that you will be better off in 1 year from now by taking the btc and putting it all into  ?100 darkcoins, so, you pay me if you're better off (you wont mind because you are better off) and I pay you if you're worse off (I wont mind because darkcoin is worth less, lol)
Great terms, do we have a bet?  Grin

We are opening http://BTER.com , preparing for the withdrawals.

Good news, hope everyone with DRK held on BTER can withdraw ok. Smiley

All my funds are gone.

Had about 6 BTC worth of alts on there - mainly BTS.

EDIT: Looks like they haven't got all the alts up yet possibly. Only CNY, USD and NXT listed in the balances.

My estimated balance of darkcoin is showing in dollars more or less right but there is no actual alt coins showing as separate values.

To celebrate the launch of EasyDarkcoin.com we're running a special competition giveaway for Bitcointalk users!

We're giving away 5 DRK to the lucky winner who will be chosen at 6pm (GMT) this Saturday..  3 days time.

To take part in this competition, just use the URL https://Easydarkcoin.com?u=will7am ( but replace will7am with your BCT username Wink ) to enter.

Share your link however you like, i.e. put it in your signature or post on Facebook.  The more hits your username link gets, the better your odds of winning.

Best of luck to everyone who takes part! Smiley

Only had 3 people enter so far, so if you take part you'll have a 25% chance of winning 5 DRK. Cheesy

EDIT: Don't forget to follow our Twitter, which just got setup. @EasyDarkcoin

Yo so how's the contest going???
I was wondering if a winner has been chosen yet???  Grin

Maybe I missed it - but I assume that we will continue to use the most recent BTC code - intergrated with DRK of course as BTC updates -  -

IF this is so - does anybody know what that time frame might be to move into BTC 0.10.X.X  ?? etc etc...

(just making small talk - I'm bored, at work)
Yep, vertoe is working on moving to Bitcoin 0.10.x and looks like there is a lot of work to do again.
But most of security/core fixes are already incorporated in current client and few bitcoin core performance fixes will be also in 11.2.

As for new features - might be not a bad idea to give bitcoin core some time to stabilize a bit and maybe wait for bitcoin 0.10.1 to be our next base Wink

Does anyone know how to re-broadcast a transaction in bitcoin client? Long story short. I sent some BTC for betting which had won. But I accidentally sent more BTC(from same wallet but on my phone) to that betting address after the bet was over. I panic and spent that BTC in MY desktop wallet as well. Know it says conflicted and all the BTC appeared in by desktop wallet. So it will never get a confirmation in the block. Anyways to make my wallet to rebroadcast that transaction?

Why dont you try starting the wallet with -zapwallettxes  is what I do whenever I have a stuck transaction. It clears the stuck transaction and returns the coins. Then you can create a new transaction if you still want to send the coins.

Well, I already got the coins returned. But I placed a bet on directbet.eu which I won. They return the winnings when there is 1 confirmation on that transaction ID. If I send the btc on a new transaction, it wont accept since the betting event is over and return my btc. But I wont get the winnings.
