What is surprising - the number of Masternodes hasn't fell. I assumed many of the old owners will get the profits - will sell for the benefit of beginners and traders. But it looks like no one is selling DASH,or coins are accumulating by old whales, who immediatly restart new Masternodes with them.

Any new name won't satisfy some percentage of older holders - they will sell. At the same time a new wave of people who didn't like the old name Darkcoin (and number of these people is bigger and they are "richer": lol:).
The first dropping-buying was 2 weeks ago - right after the announcement.
We have all seen the result.

The second dropping-buying will now along the same lines, but now with the participation of people who are not closely followed the news.
IMHO it will have the same character as the first dropping-buying, but more extended in time ...

Will wait and see.

terrible name.. sounds too much like the arabic name for ISIS.

I didn't even realise it was happening and when I saw DRK was gone I was like WTF!... im guessing a lot of people are going through a WTF moment right now and that's why it tanked.

Dark was a kind of sexy name.. but Dash.. I think they will have trouble trying to sell that name to new vendors especially since there already seems to be a Dashcoin DSH.

I was one of the guys that were pro-name change, but i always thought that DASH sounded horrible. Again, developers are naming coins without taking in consideration the other parts of the world.

Also, how do you spell DASH when it comes to plural ? Dashes ? Dashcoins ? In my case i must put an "i" to make a plural. So i get DASHi (with an accent on A). It sounds horrendous, hillbilly like and it makes Dashi-coini the only solution available. That one sounds pretty bad too.

Thats what I thought on the correction after the rise to 18 - then I got screwed.

The simple fact is, nobody's selling - and why should they with the future this project's got. The rise happened so quickly due to low supply. Half of it is tied up in masternodes earning service interest and the other half is in the hands of holders who have spent the last year becoming familiar with the long term characteristics and objectives of this project so a major revaluation was on the cards sonner or later.

Yeah, there's about 5 or so masternodes worth in the way of getting back to the nightly high. Gives you some sort of perspective for those flipping masternodes worth of coins.

Anyone has an idea of how to get Volume data for DRK for the last 10 to 15 days, a way to get daily volumes for a period of time would be great. Need it for official DASH business. If any of our traders can help I would really appreciate it.

Cumulative volume across all exchanges might be tricky but Cryptsy has a API call in the V2 version which will get OHLCV series by day/hour/minute

Try this and use the volume info for the period of interest to you:

Yeah cumulative volume for all exchanges is what I was looking for, it indeed seems tricky. If anyone has any idea on how to get this info I would really appreciate it.
