But the truth is, that all time high was not real.  There was a bunch of coins stolen... gosh I can't even remember which exchange anymore! And, the theives bought DRK with no regard for price.  They just bought as many as they could, sending the price sky rocketing.  Of course, as soon as they bought all they could, the price crashed.  So that all time high thing just looked like a pump and dump, which it was.  But it was a P&D by thieves, not community members.  It was never planned by the DRK community, which we've been accused of ever since, so that bump in the chart has always irked me

I think it was Polinex?, and the weird thing is, if I remember correctly, the thief got cold feet and returned what he could (but he lost a lot of the funds in his P&D.  I think what happened was that the exchange mistakenly put BTC into his wallet, he knew it wasn't his, so he quickly pulled it out and "washed" it.  Again, then he felt guilty and 'fessed up.  Did what he could to return what was left of the funds, and I think Polinex (SP?) survived.

I was confused, this incident caused a spike, but it is insignificant today and nothing to do with the highs of May 2014.

I'd like some primary sources on the claim that thieves pumped DRK back then. Because when I remember back it was a speculation bubble due to announced features like DarkSend and incentivized nodes.

When I first read about what Darkcoin did to Dashcoin a couple days ago, I was angry.  Since then, I have come to realize that Darkcoin is made up of a bunch of bullies.  I HATE bullies.  As such, I would like to propose a community takeover of Dashcoin which I will lead.  I have a gameplan which will begin with:

1.  A formal request for the official twitter account from Darkcoin.
2.  A formal request for the dashcoin.net website from Darkcoin.
3.  A formal request for access to the official Dashcoin github.

Depending on how they respond will determine my next steps.  I assure you I have a strong game plan either way.

We would continue to use this thread for a short time.

I have some coding skills but would likely bring in a friend who is much stronger than me.

We will use all legal means at our disposal if Darkcoin doesn't comply with our requests.

We must fight the bullies that have tampered with and reduced the value and function of our coin.

Any objections?

The fact is, Evan Duffield has tampered with the personal property of Dashcoin holders and reduced its value and function.  If you live in Arizona, that's not a good idea.

 Do Arizonians have a certificate of ownership of said coins? And when did Evan tamper with personal belongings, he went door-to-door to Dashcoin holders? How many Dashcoin owners actually live in Arizona? Function was never reduced as the code was unchanged and no new version roll-out existed, so zero limiting functionality. As for price, well, its a free market, deal with it.
