DASH is obsolete with what is being proposed for Bitcoin.  It never was anything more than a Bitcoin clone with coinjoin/tumbling.  Your thoughts?

Yes, that's CONFIRMED:

Quote
http://voxelsoft.com/dev/sumcoin.pdf

By hiding the balance completely, Sumcoin is arguably "darker" than Dark-
coin (now known as Dash), which is essentially an obfuscating coin mixer. A
Sumcoin user needs not mix coins of related denominations, she can simply
spend to multiple addresses. A hidden satoshi will mix as well as a hidden coin.
Sumcoin, of course, does not depend a tiered network architecture.

Gavin Anderson comments on DASH question from audience
40m 26s

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RIafZXRDH7w&feature=youtu.be&t=40m26s

Wow, they have no clue as to what we are about!  They also seem seriously lazy as well.  I'm not impressed.

yep, coder who are not interested in code, except their own written.
You two are wrong, he has a point and the point is solid - until somebody really puts effort and skills into taking down Darkash, nobody will ever know how secure the network is.

We did that with Atlas - he got over 1000DRK for the review
but
A lot has changed since then......

If Gavin has a specific security group which he finds credible,  I would vote yes to fund a security review once the Dash core group feels its time using the new method to fund Dash projects.

As Gavin said, if Dash was actually used for anything valuable it would come under attack naturally.  But it isn't, so it won't.   Tongue

You had to be a blindfolded flatworm walking backwards in the pitch dark to not have seen that coming.

Present for the trolls - their very own "not-used-for-anything-valuable", manipulated to death, designed in the 1990's for banks, sold in the 2010's to gullable crypto-trainspotters (minus the bank), cryptographic, bot-bloated gunk that they so love to promote in this thread....

I have to correct you here. This sell off was not caused by the news of sidechains, that news already came out 16 hours ago and most of the day it stayed above 0.0023. This sell off was merely created by some whale, whom is playing games and causing panic in the poloniex trollbox. One should remark that the trollbox on poloniex and thus the traders are generally very influencable.

Monero tip of the day Wink

1) goto control panel and display,
2) in display settings, set rotate the monitor by 90 degrees.
3) proceed to carefully turn monitor physically by 90 degrees, making sure it is stable in the new position and won't fall.

Enjoy the full candle in all its blazing glory  Grin

Hearing lots of good things about you guys,
hey am wondering is there a way of telling how much daily volume per coin there is ?

EB82 – Mike Hearn - Blocksize Debate At The Breaking Point
https://soundcloud.com/epicenterbitcoin/eb-082

Looks like we are approaching the Bitcoin revolution Revolution in Bitcoin.  Cheesy But seriously, he has a really interesting vision about all kind of general Bitcoin issues.

It took until the 37 minute mark, but he finally said this:

"I wouldn't worry much about the centralization...anyone who wants to can run a full node"

This (to me) is the main argument against increasing the block limit.  Running a full bitcoin node would be considerably more expensive than it is now.  This will result in fewer nodes, which will centralize the system.  How much?  Don't know.  DASH solved this problem in an blindingly obvious way.  Incentivize the Nodes.  DASH tech > BTC tech.  It's just a matter of time.

WOW - That was a really good read :-D

Interesting, more eyes the better, so could even sort the somewhat mysterious masternode bandwidth gnarliness.
