Hi I have a question on http://drk.lotterymining.com/ and sorry to say I'm new to mining. I have a few EC2 instances running on this pool and seems to be chugging along nicely. I'm on the leader boards http://drk.lotterymining.com/index.php?page=statistics&action=pool. One of those stats confuses me and that's the DRK/Day. Based on my current stats, is that what I should be earning? But when I go to my dashboard I still have 0 Confirmed and 0 Unconfirmed. Am I doing something wrong? And again, apologies for what will seem like a completely stupid question to most of you. Well to start of with the stats, they are hmm should we say, optimistic, the second question about earned money, well that has to do with luck of the pool, the smaller the pool, the longer it can take for hitting a new block, while the larger the pool, the faster it can go..

I have all my bitcoin tied up at Coinbase (I was willing to pay higher fees for ease of use). I'd like to get some Darkcoins. What are people's preferred ways to acquire Darkcoins besides mining?

this coin currently makes no sense.
the 2 main things that set it apart from other coins are not yet implemented:
Encrypted transaction network: Work In Progress Anonymous blockchain using coinjoin technology: Pre-Alpha
zerocoin will be released soon and it has all of these things taken care of since months. and apparently can make any coin transaction anonymous through an integrated layer

Whatever you think. I'm basically a miner so I understand what miners think. We want to make profit. As long as we making profit, we will mine the coin. Frankly, I even sold a few DRKs with 0.0005 before because it was very easy to mine with CPUs one week ago. I cancelled all of my sell orders when I see the GPU miner comes out. Of course I hope the price will go up. Basically DRK mining with GPUs is still not profitable in comparison with other scrypt/scrypt-jane coins. Or could you give me some better advices ?
DRK is currently the most profitable CPU-coin MAX is currently the most profitable GPU-coin There's no such thing as a CPU-only coin as a GPU is really just a very specialized CPU and all algorithm's from conventional CPU's can be emulated by GPU's Biggest challenge for GPU'fiers today is probably Riecoin. I think that will stay "CPU-only" for a long time.

The dump was orchestrated by a single buyer, who sold NONE of his own coins. Not a single one. He just dropped 8000 at 0.00179 ... Noobs panicked and sold low - straight to him ... And then he disappeared.

I have seen this sentiment posted a lot. Mostly from vert fanatics or NXT coin afficionados. It's like you did not even read the thread or the first page. Did you click on the progress links? No? Then how could you possibly know what stage the coin is at? Eitherway, invest in what ever you deem fit. Free world, free market. Good luck.

GPU-miners has changed the game. Your CPU won't stance a change anymore. With current diff my 100 Cores only earn 20 DRKs a day. So around 0.01 BTC. It even not worths the electric bill.

As good as toast? Is that good, or bad? I love toast ... There is no rush to perfect this coin. It is quite new. Bitcoin, Litecoin, Doge, Vert ... blah blah blah. They won't be able to fork, and implement anonymity anytime soon. Darkcoin has a lot going for it, and it's not even on a major exchange. Test tomorrow ... expect the coin price to triple this month
