Is mining via amazon or digital ocean worth it ?
How many coins can you generate daily?
It's with amazon. (the cheaper I found) But it's hard to say how many coin, as it's changing so fast last 3 days.... With 20 instance it's seems that i did ~ 35 ... today Yesterday 2 day ago more like 75 2 weeks ago with 2 cpu (8 core) like 100... it change really fast and decreasing alot I did another little improvement of the cpu miner. That needs testing... This time is just about 5% improvement, and not 20-30% like last time. If you want to test it, pm me.

IMO the #1 thing that darkcoin requires is a good and objective wikipedia entry, thus people can google darkcoin and find all about it right there. Right now google throws much irrelevant crap when one writes darkcoin (this can be different depending your area, browser history etc) and that can be rectified by a wiki entry that will be the #1 result (after the page is created and indexed).
As I said earlier the best way to promote something is to let others discover it instead of promoting it to them (which creates the reverse psychological effect of "they are trying to scam me") but in our time this means they have to google it. And googling darkcoin is problematic without a wiki entry.
+1 We need more hard information & genuine press; less cheap SEO tactics that make people think they're being scammed. The latter is what the pump & dump coins do, and it's why people don't take them seriously. One thing that's desperately needed IMO is for someone with writing experience (I mean proper writing experience, not SEO shilling experience) to write copy for the official website. Agree. It needs to look more like https://bitcoin.org/en/ with background, how to, etc. I agree, If someone/group wants to take on building the website, feel free to contact me: internetape@me.com Now we want someone that cares, to build a nice site, not just someone that THINKS they can build a nice site. Send me links to other site YOU have built and would like someone that can be technical and also be able to explain what a Cryptocoin is to someone that has never heard of them. We can take donations for the website developer, I will put up 100DRK and eduffield will match the 100DRK. www.portalbitcoin.pt <-- what do you think about this project, design and etc?

Hey guys... And Dev team. I want to help out in terms of popularity an SEO - Social Network Links, Backlinking and all that I have experience in this field. I also have a huge email list in the IM niche and starting new campaigns on Bitcoins and most importantly DARKCoins. That being said, www.drkcoin.com is part of this project. It is not complete nor is it a competition. It is a portal to the main website. I also touched up the logo a bit. I am not here for copyright or any trademark abuse. I am a fan of this coin, I hold many and I want it to succeed. I am open to ideas and suggestions but before I put real work into this I want to know if its okay with the dev team. Cheers, Ty. Do you guys like the Darker Darkcoin? or This is all very bad. The website looks like it was made in 1999 and the logos are not 'enhanced' in any way. I really get that your intentions are good but if googling darkcoin brings people to that page, it will make this coin look like trash. I saw you in the c-cex chat box talking about being good at webdesign etc...

I'd like to thank eduffield and the other developers for this critically important evolution in virtual currency. DarkCoin is what bitcoin should have been. Some might call it "Bitcoin 2.0" but would do better by saying: "DarkCoin is digital cash." - Child Harold - February 28, 2014 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg5424980#msg5424980

I hate the colour of the darkcoin logo, if you're going to have the dark navy background i'd lighten the D, closer to namecoin, worldcoin, nxt. http://coinmarketcap.com/ with DRK you can hardly see the d. Probably not that big of a deal though.
Simplicity and clarity. I have to admit that I'm not a fan of the current logo either. It just doesn't portrait a very professional image. Maybe we should a have a contest to see who can design a unique logo that is a bit more corporate in its appearance. I'd put up 100drk for that to start with. eduffield no disrespect meant in providing some ideas.
Hey , I'm in charge of remaking the logo for the moment, I don't mean to say there shouldn't be a competition but from the reactions I've gathered it's a positive change. Here's a preview , this is a work in progress and the final logo will be about 55% better. I'm taking input from InternetApe as I create it to get exactly the vision that he and Evan want for the coin. This has a lighter D already and the binary spells out darkcoin. I'm also making a spinning gif version where the binary numbers spin around and disappear and reappear. I did this out of passion but I'll take that 100drk donation in the adress in my signature and any others are welcome obviously!

I believe the logo must be totally simple and remarkable, that is easy to remember and reproduce somewhere else. I think the logo should be just a letter D with some high tech font and maybe 1 or 2 vertical line(s). The logo must be visible in a very small size, must be seen nice on any background. What you guys have shown is pretty good and will be useful, but not as a logo of a new currency.

Since the technology's working towards darkness, the logo need not to be dark. Try something different devs. Bring some charm and appeal.

Dark blue is excellent but black is an exceptionally imposing color coupled with the right design.

I think the updated one is excellent, personally. It fits with the standard style of crypto logos, looks clean & professional. The 1's and 0's on the left-hand logo are a bit aliased, but it's minor. IMO creating a unique identifiable brand is more important than trying to be bright & happy & crowd-pleasing. I think the colour scheme fits. My 2 mDRK. Oh also: what about a standard currency symbol? Some options: Ď ɖ ɗ ʠ Ԃ ԃ Ժ Ⴛ פ Ⴇ ᐅ ᐉ ᐈ ᐷ ᒇ ᗠ ᗫ ᗬ ᵭ
Ϫ Ҳ Ӽ Ӿ ೱ ᅕMy favs: ᗫ, Ӿe.g. ᗫ5.0, Ӿ5.0

I think the X is interesting, plus it gives homage to Xcoin

Hmm, not all of them show up in chrome on android, which might be a problem.
And yeah, I'd lean towards the Ӿ, since Dogecoin's symbol is Ð which could be confusing.

Lol, I can really imagine old ladies using that coin to shop at a grocery store. Hello sir, I will be paying with the demonic, fireball currency today. Maybe a sweet wallet picture to go along with it:

I tend to agree. I'll put my money where my mouth is and offer 200DRK for something that is professional and powerful... if it's awe-inspiring 300DRK. Let's look at this from a very fresh new prospective. Anything kitchey or gimmicky is may be appropriate for doge(eek) of cat or whatever awful plethora of crap coins that exist. is there a reason why we are having to stick with this tacky coin shaped logo...? Q2C has a great design and fresh(don't know that crypto just speaking about the design). IMHO this coin should embody the professional and sophistication of something that is worthy of doing my most trusted and sensitive not only personal but corporate transactions. Transactions such as buying real-estate, equipment to transferring wealth of your families estate type the next generation.

If you want something more "professional and sophistication of something that is worthy of doing my most trusted and sensitive not only personal but corporate transactions. Darkcoin has something mysterious about it...we should play that out...
