Yup, just some folks taking profits on early gains, wouldn't worry too much. Good time to get in if you're not already or would like to get more invested before the DarkSend release.

I think it may be related to panic selling @ poloniex specifically. I mean some people were cashing out at any price. That's why on c-cex there was no cheap DRKs.

I just heard a rumor (no idea if it's true and it very well may not be) that Cryptsy isn't going to add Darkcoin to their exchange because they are going through the steps in the USA to comply with the laws necessary to be able to accept dollar deposits and withdrawals in every state.  And they're worried that being associated with, "An anonymous Darkcoin that may be tied to illegal activity by the media" might hinder that.

Thoughts?

Well, he said it's ready for testing, but my miner doesn't connect and I'm going to bed now, it's late here on Cyprus.
I've left my miners with --failover-only to darcoinpool.io, so hopefully they will start mining to the new p2pool as soon as it starts accepting incoming connections.

source or worthless?

I'd like to thank eduffield and the other developers for this critically important evolution in virtual currency. DarkCoin is what bitcoin should have been. Some might call it "Bitcoin 2.0" but would do better by saying: "DarkCoin is digital cash." - Child Harold - February 28, 2014

I am not sure about that, Cryptsy is already violating US regulations, accepting traders from NY, CA, FL and other states where state licensing is required. NY regulators probably will prohibit MSBs deal with coins that do not have public blockchain, but at the moment they are not sure about that. Also, even without Cryptsy there are bter, mcxnow, btc-e and other exchanges that are not US based

CONCLUSION: BUY BUY BUY!!!! )))))

When they reach 10$ each, that will buy some nice anonymous butt plugs in the mail.
