..pity..this coin had great potential..got raped by greed...slapped around..and bullies stole its lunch money...time to move on to another coin and chalk it up as a bad experience..learn from it...too much hype around this coin...difficulty too high...mining will evaporate in the next week until the hashrate implodes the coin...was a great idea until greed got in the way...

time to move on folks..stop being 'faithful' against the odds...turn your hash power to coins with some history and stability...nothing left to see here except ruins...

Miners stopped mining due to very high difficulty & very low price. They probably mined other more profitable coins by now.

Thing is, I'm not seeing a huge drop in difficulty. It's still in the 180 range. Which means that the miners are not necessarily the standard batch of daily miners who mine for profitability purposes otherwise difficulty would be slashed.

Btw, I was looking for a cpu-only coin to redirect my cpu (and leave my GPUs as they are to DRK) and from all the coins from the cpu-only list that I checked, to my surprise, there was nothing worthwhile in terms of coin specs. This made me realize, once again, that DRK is still one of the best coins out there right now - no matter what the price ticker says.

..pity..this coin had great potential..

And now it doesn't, because?

Wow, skimming through all the comments for today (been busy) and we have so many weirdos popping in saying outrageous stuff, like that last guy telling us to move on!  LOL, why?  What's up with them?  Market manipulation?  Why do people come on these threads and presume to tell the rest of us what we should think or do?

Whatever, it was a nice community, but I guess the real world has crashed in  Cry

The price goes down because owners of such wallets dump coins at whatever price they can, the market got big enough to get enough BTC.

Oh wow, I just discovered the ignore button, LOL, wonderful!  Too old for all that nasty talk, not thought provoking nor has any point, just nasty words.  Happy to listen to someone who has good points of warning, or ideas, but there has been way too much mindless poop on this thread today.

COINMINE UPDATE #3

The coinmine pool has
2930 MHASH out of total 5169 MHASH on network which is 56.68%

Here is a list of all the alternative pools, transfer your miners to any one of these , ideally spread out as much as possible.

THIS IS CRUCIAL

It hasn't gone down yet, network hashrate has gone down only.

Hi Guys,

To be honest I don't get why it is so crucial, but let me explain how it works.

If I would have bad intentions (and skills) I could destroy 10 coins so far. I am operating pools almost a year now for 23 coins. My pools are fast and stable that's why people like to mine here.

I would say I am securing coins networks with my pools because single farms and haters cannot get enough power. You can say my pool can be DDOSed and of course you are right (although my pools are DDOS protected in some extent) but other pools can be DDOSed as well - whats the difference? They can do it for 1 or 2 or 3 pools without any problems. There is very simple solution for this - if DRK price will go up more pools will be opened and people will spread hashpower naturally.

@atomjuice77 I looked through your post history and you've been hurling vitriol and trashing coins left and right. You're more than welcome to criticise any coin you like, but people are going to ignore you if you can't at least be civil.

I don't think the comment was to imply anything is wrong with your pool, but only that it isn't healthy for our coin to have everyone at one end of the boat as it may capsize ;P  It just isn't healthy.  Nothing what so ever against you or your pool.  Our main pool run by the developer, was closed to new registrations when it got too big for that same reason.

Anyway, we are very glad that you are here providing darkcoin with a good stable pool and truly hope you stick with us, but we'll still try to get people to spread their hash around for the sake of the coin Smiley

feeleep

Feeleep, I think you're providing a great service. I guess the main point is that we want these coins to be secured in a decentralised, trustless manner. Even though you might be a completely trustworthy pool operator, the very fact that your pool has > 50% of hashrate for a coin means it's no longer a trustless scenario. So, all power to you as a pool operator, but for the health of these coins you need competition. Smiley

[edit] Yeah -- what TanteStefana said.
