I think it would be a good idea for every crypto exchange to setup an insurance pool that is funded by a small percentage of the exchange fees. That wallet should be held secure offline so no one can hack it.

So I'm asking about total amount to estimate if there would other similar dumps appear.

yesterday was like 40 000 DRK , days before that similar, so it's gotta be over 100k DRK

If the 300BTC figure is correct at .002 (a low estimate) would give this person about 150k. If you add up all the big dumps @ Polo it ends up being about 160k (obviously these probably aren't 100% his because it's the general volume figure). It feels like there can't be much left (if any) for this guy to dump.

If I had lost a lot to this guy, I would just find a hacker on deep net to ruin him. Thievery from this community of mainly middleclass citizens is not cool.

Say what? Thievery isn't cool no matter what "class" of person gets stolen from...

Hello, I'm crossposting here from the sph sgminer thread, I know I shouldn't but nobody answers me there:

I have a sapphire r9 290 which doesn't want to move the memory clock from 150 when mining darkcoins, leading to 1/10 of the available hashrate. All other cards are fine, and the card mines fine with other miners (engine clock can be changed instead).

Please help!

try editing the sgminer default .conf file to force values....
also, make sure you compiled with the right AMD sdk + AMD APP

I run it like this, but I've tried any other possible setting:

-I 19 -w 128 --gpu-engine 1100 --gpu-memclock 1250 --gpu-powertune 20

I'm on ubuntu with fglrx 2:13.200~beta-0ubuntu1~xedgers~saucy2.
Compiled many flavors of cgminer and sgminer without issues in the past.
my r 290x will not run stable above engine 1060

I tried rebooting and not setting any clock at all, same problem... 150 and no more :-(

Yes but even less "cool" if it's from people who don't have a lot to begin with. Stealing from rich has that Robin Hood stigma to it, even though it is bad, I would say it's not as bad as stealing from poor or middleclass people. That's my own opinion though.

I get what you mean, but the unnecessary classification of peoples always irks me.

No one knows yet. Not even the developers

But the tests looks promising as far as I've understood.

I think Monero (XMR) is very interesting.

Another dump on Poloniex. Have anyone calculated how much was dumped in total?

There is a volume information - 12043 DRK.

Probably the dude who bought a shit ton with the bugged out btc yesterday on c-cex.

:/ this is gonna be a mild crash of the dark economy, I believe.

Yeah, they have his username and the guys in the trollbox at c-cex are working on tracking him down.
If you are interested - check the chat over there.
*quick summary* c-cex exchange wallet gone yesterday (300 btc), extracted from wallet all btc they could - then they bought up all the drk they could - transferred to poloniex and sold.
everyone who had btc at c-cex yesterday (not today - the system is fine again - hole was patched), their btc is on hold until c-cex earns enough to pay them back one by one

THEY HAVE RUINED ME!!!

They are holding my btc I'm supposed to pay my rent with and now I'm about to be kicked out. Is that fair? Is any of this alright?! I don't know what to do.  Undecided

Wow, that sux. And hope you get things worked out.

But I learned long time ago with these things, if you can afford to lose the money, dont risk it. Can't live paycheck to paycheck on Crypto.
