Is it bad that I'm so desperate for my first MN payment that I'm not just refreshing my browser anymore, but am clearing the cache each time too! Just in case =)

Just started a # on twitter for DarkCoin Support.

#DarkCoinSupport if you got issues you want solved via twitter.

tweeted:
#DarkCoinSupport test 1 2 #drk #darkcoin and the support one can receive here? Is.....?

Technical. Its just a way for mostly new community members who have a quick question and are in the crucial early stages of setting up accounts. Often times you gain or lose a community member within the ease of set up alone.

Also on days of large updates or future forks. What coins have a place for 24-7 support? Often times people are left with unanswered questions and may be discouraged from a coin. This is a small attempt to remedy that.

Yea well - reviewing your latest post on bitcointalk - I'm not so sure you the best person to be giving advice.

A brief review would say - Uh, no thank you

Your name is Buy4Crypto - you sound like somebody that cannot even be trusted with your own coins.

Sorry but I'll pass on anything you have to say.

Gonna go over and un-follow you now.....

Good-luck with all that.

I have a feeling that you'll scam and twist reality to your own well-being.

That is fine. The first domain I registered back in March after spending a long time trying to find where to spend my bitcoin. So I moved from mining to web development and bought buy4crypto.com because I wanted to be a shopping directory for people to know where to spend bitcoin. I have over 130 Domains now including DRK.xyz, and I have some really big ideas for once a team can be assembled.

I keep the twitter handle now due to my nearly 240 bitcoin followers that I value, and value me.

Can't please everyone I suppose. Gives me more motivation to prove those thinking like that wrong.

You will see in time my intentions are nothing other than to create a world class crypto brand on a successful platform. Everyone has to start somewhere.

This perticular venture once at scale will be a 24-7 live help desk for DarkCoin on a well designed platform. Right now we are in beta for 31 websites while we proove the concept to bring on a professional web designer and editor.

If I am rough around the edges with English sometimes. You will have to excuse me that I spoke Italian for many years while learning English so my grammar is terrible.

Support is always welcome in the form of kind words. I am trying to help the DarkCoin community, as well as other crypto communities with a service, no more, no less.

Those are 'pool_unknown', unnamed.
When enforce_masternode_payments is true, blocks from those unnamed pools will be orphaned(rejected).

Yah, well, That's why we have to get everything smoothed out so that enforcement can be implemented.  Thank you to all the pools and miners who have updated because you are helping to test the implementation of DarkSend with Masternode payments, and it's because of you that we will soon get the next step completed!

In the end, it's the functionality of DarkSend and this entire network that will give the coin it's value.  So being greedy is ultimately detrimental to the coin's value, hurting the greedy person.  But it also doesn't matter as soon, payments will be enforced and their blocks won't be accepted until they update.  It just shows that it is essential to get this system working because you can't trust people to do the right thing when profit is involved.  DarkSend has to be bullet proof in the end.

Is there any way to find out the pool owners so we can contact them directly and tell them to update?

How can i actually verify that my MN is working? Have 2 MNs that have been up since softfork launch, (updated within a few hrs of latest version) and one of them has gotten 1 drk payment, the other 0.

Both local and remote have latest darkcoind, and i have ran the masternode sync..

Its no fun looking in the list hehe, some have gotten 9drk, many 4 etc...  Huh

I would like to know as well, if its on the list and all green does this mean its definitely running?
Mines been up a couple days, updated, changed priv key, still no payment. Probably just luck but would like to know if there is a way to tell if its definitely eligible.

I think the masternode stats are confusing people.

Because it has a line that says "payment per day", people think that they're actually going to receive literal payments every day, but that statistic is just an average expectation.

I got nothing for nearly 3 days. Then I got 1 payment, then nothing for a day and a half, then I got 3 payments in 6 hours.

It's very random - as intended - not regular. You need to wait 2 or 3 weeks before getting enough "randomness" to measure your 'daily' revenue.

Stop doing silly things like changing your IP address and regenerating privkeys. All you're going to do is irritate your masternode so it won't give you anything. If your node appears in the list, registered with green lights - LEAVE IT ALONE for a week and then worry.

I think we should expect a "standard deviation" picture for the MN payments.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Standard_deviation

The Y-axis will be the MN payments count.
The peak will be the expected average payments for the given day number.

So.. there will be 0.5% or 1.7% or 4.4% of the people that will get much more or less compared to average..

On the remote machine, run:

Code:
darkcoind masternode list | grep <ipaddress>

Make <ipaddress> the IP of the remote server.  If you get a return with the IP in red, that address is on the network and the MN should get paid.  There's nothing more to do but wait.

EDIT (6/28/2014)
New clients have been released and more changes have been made. Current versions are v9.11.5 and v10.11.5. It is important that all solo-miners and pool operators update to the correct clients! Miners make the network work, and as such you need to use the right client versions, stay up to date and keep our blockchain healthy and stable!

You can find the new client software on the official downloads page of www.Darkcoin.io.

Finding the owners would be a case-by-case situation.  Code could be inserted to blacklist blocks coming from specific pools (those that haven't updated, in this case), but that would be sort of a nuclear option.  In any case, once enforcement is switched on it won't be an issue.

About one third of network have not received payments I think. The uptime of these MNs are varied so statistical analysis is difficult.

Anyone know what is causing a small number of MNs to get banned?
