How does the rich list look? At a glance, Number 1 (XosX) is standing pat, with no new purchases since 7/18.
DRK testnet has a flurry of activity, with software updates happening multiple times per day.
Ok, so we have have some masternode vultures still, but 1 month from now everyone will have to play fair.
So, I really wonder if an exchange is about to go belly up, and DRK is the laundering vehicle of choice...

Maybe in a month or two 1 DRK will be 0.0005 BTC. Good end for the extremely innovative and productive path of DARK.

There is an open source ATM. Buy the ATM, load your own software to run it. I got in contact with them months ago. They said they were focusing on BTC, but their ATM could be used to support any coin.

So this must be something else. Maybe a distribution partner with DRK pre-loaded - for legal marijuana shops, maybe?

I can only see this as being good. How could something like this bring such a crazy price drop. The coin is a burning ship and everyone is jumping off. I don't get it at all. This is the most amazing coin out there and people are selling. It must be something like they are getting back in to bitcoin trying to panic buy or something. The thing is that Bitcoin will never be the kind of coin that Darkcoin is, Bitcoin it is inferior.

Umm, possibly related. Has anyone checked out the recent activity on https://chainz.cryptoid.info/drk/ ?
There's 280k+ of DRK being broken up into a variety of addresses.  That's a lot of DRK, and every few blocks a few hundred DRK get peeled off the wad and stashed into a new address.

Whoever coined MintGox, that was absolutely prophetic! Just assume the coins are gone.

Moolah shutting its doors is no surprise but this explains:

a) why many people have "missing accounts" that they cannot login to, most likely DRK holders.
b) the panic sell of DRK on exchanges this morning

Fuck you moolah for using DRK to recoup your losses....

Darkcoin had the biggest volume in their exchange. Probably that's why they chose it. Only mintpal would dump this cheap so it explains why minutes before the moolah blog post, we experienced this big dump. If that's true then price should be recovering fast.

Most of the volume Mintpal ever had was generated by their own bots. They sold up either because they had fucked up and realised they couldn't cover their short trades, or there simply wasn't enough profit left for them in it. Credit where it's due, they may have been crooked, but they weren't idiots.

Along comes an idiot: Alex@Moolah. Just as crooked, but not nearly as smart. Buys Mintpal for a hefty chunk, too stupid to see that all that volume was imaginary, and doesn't have the team to run it, at all as it turns out, never mind with the profits the previous crooks were raking in by shorting every dunce who left a balance on there, with their own money.

Hilarity ensues.  Grin

Yes, you were all dunces, anyone with one eyeball and two brain cells could see the Mintpal bot legions at work, bleeding fiat out of your crypto, and not only did you dunces get what you deserved, the rest of us saw our holdings decrease in value too. So fuck you.  Tongue

Silver lining - DRK is clearly the cryptocurrency of choice for criminals. Can't get a better recommendation than that.  Wink
