Since I already have a wallet with more than 1000 DRKs in it what do I need to do differently than the guide? The one in the guide doesn't have any in it and I don't want to do anything wrong.

You can always back up your wallet.dat file just in case something was to go wrong.  It would save your coins.

If you want to stay with the same wallet you have to create a new address (address 0) and send exactly 1000 DRK to your new address.

Or better to have separate wallet. Just create a new wallet and create the 0 address and send here the 1000 DRK.

If you have any doubt dont do anything ...
I went to receive and clicked new address and entered 0 for the label, is that how it's done?
How would I have two wallets on the same computer? Copy my current wallet.dat and then delete it from appdata and then reopen the wallet so it makes a new wallet.dat?

Exactly.
When you launch the -qt if there is no wallet.dat (in C:\user\<user>AppData/Roaming/darkcoin for windows), automatically it create a new one.
Take care with copying your wallet.dat. Always copy it when the QT in closed and not running

To create a new address you have to do in the console :
getaccountaddress 0

Then if you go in the "receive" tab you can see 2 address the standar and the new one labeled 0...

Edit: I just used the backup wallet option under file. Is that okay? They are in all of the places I saved it.

Hmmmm For the fee it depend where the drk came from, normaly you'll not pay fee so you can try to send exactly 1000 drk.
If there is a fee a message will pop up telling you that you will pay fee then cancel and add the fee to you total (for example if the drk came from p2poool minning it's possible that you'll pay a fee)

You send enough so the ending result is 1000. Coin control would tell you if there is a fee (which on size there will be).

That's fine as well. The biggest thing is never try to alter a wallet.dat while the client is open.

Weird. I sent exactly 1k, got no fee warning, and exactly 1k showed up in the new wallet.

The fee is dependent on the size of the transaction in kb, not on the basis of the number of coins you are sending. Therefore, one transaction for 1000 DRK might not cost anything, while a small transaction for 1 DRK that depends on lots of small inputs or "dust" could cost a lot. This is true with most other cryptocurrencies as well, including Bitcoin.

If there ever is a fee, you needn't worry about anticipating it and including it in the transaction. If there are any fees, the wallet will warn you ahead of time, and add the fee for you (e.g., rather than reducing your 1000 to become ---> 999.999 + 0.001 fee, it will change to 1000 + 0.001).

Also, make sure that Darksend is OFF or your 1000 DRK deposit could be broken up into anonymized funds. You should enable coin control as well and lock the 1000 DRK input to prevent ever accidentally breaking it up (which would instantly disable you masternode).

That used to be necessary, but not any more. Now you can just create any new address and label it what you want and send 1k to it.

The important part is that you need exactly a 1k vin on an address.

Weird. I sent exactly 1k, got no fee warning, and exactly 1k showed up in the new wallet.

Why is that weird? That is the expected behaviour! If you dont get charged a fee, then what you send out is exactly what is received. Taylor05 explained it well in the above post.

That's why I said on size. Coin control will tell you the size as you are grouping lots.

Are there any VPS providers that would be suitable for a masternode that accept DRK?

Vultr is the best. 5 $ a month is all I pay. Limit is 1000 GB a month so you will never go over that.
You can as well earn me a beer if you order it through the following link Smiley

Edit: I can't read... sorry

Still need 300DRK for the next MN.

100DRK = 10%
plus 0.5DRK for Server and Escrow Fee
 - - - -
200DRK = 20%
plus 1.0DRK for Server and Escrow Fee
 - - - -
300DRK = 30%
plus 1.5DRK for Server and Escrow Fee
 - - - -

Send email to: escrow@darkcoin.io

(I have to work my real-world job today but I should be around to answer any questions)

Put me down for 100DRK... Assuming you're still looking? Shall I email the escrow address for more details?

Thanks  Smiley

4) why did I learn about directbet.eu?

Because they accepted DRK recently.

And I have to told this story trhat happen to me today :

You can place a bet there even if the match already started...

So after ~20min of soccer PSG-Metz, PSG was winning 2-0.
I then place a bet that PSG will win ( with confirmed odd : @1.03 = that mean if I bet 10 and I win I receive 10.3 drk).
I told me some easy DRK quickly so I send all what I have from cryptsy because at work (~20drk)
Like 30 mintues after I check the score FAK  Metz egalized 2-2.. Fuck I loose.

But finaly PSG win 3-2 at the last minutes lol then I win 0.6 DRK and they paid directly at the address I entered...

Well all this to say I was near to loose 20 drk, this only to win 0.6 lol.. But well you love to play or not...
And to say they pay immediatly at the end of the event you bet for =)
