On a totally unrelated and slightly stalkerish note, Eduffield have you lost weight? From earlier pictures that I saw of you it looked like you had a bit more ... consistency? Now the latest youtube video you look really slim. Maybe you're overworked lol?

Back to InstantX

What latest youtube video?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BMn1EB-eht8

Edit: Just noticed it's 360p only, for shame lol. Could also do with some visual overlays but I'm still glad to see Evans face behind his product.

Cool video, thanks for posting that.

Just saying.  No disrespect to you othe.  I'm just not as sure as you that BCX isn't capable of doing the things they say.  I'd rather err on the side of caution than get caught naked in the rain.

You missed the point

Every successful piece of software out there has and has had bugs. It happens, and it makes the system stronger ultimately.

Othe is right that BCX deserves no attention or respect, and certainly not payments or deals. He is a trolling FUDster who made threats against Monero and demonstrated no ability to carry them out.

BTW, I also not aware of any "deal" that has been made with BCX by anyone.

You "not being aware" means nothing.

How would you know Risto does on his own?

Me not being aware means I'm not aware. Simple as that. People can read into that what the like.

Possible explanations:

1. BCX is lying

2. Smooth is lying

3. Risto is lying and Smooth is uninformed

What is it a "DRK CounterParty For Anonymous Contracts"?
(Sorry for my bad english)

I started brainwashing the devs a few months ago on multi-sig. Now we have it enabled (thanks devs).

I've recently started brainwashing the devs on a DRK counterparty notion:

Two people can enter into contracts to pass, say, ownership of something between them and hold that something anonymously, yet still be able to prove ownership if they need to. Payment is also anonymous.

So, for example: I could buy stock / shares in SilkRoad and be entitled to dividends by virtue of some anonymous contracts. I could pay for those shares anonymously and get paid dividends anonymously.

Well, that's the thinking. Is it possible? Fuck knows. But it would be awesome.

So, I brainwash the devs for as long as possible, so they think about the problem unconsciously until they figure out how to do it  Grin

Ok thanks!
Your idea is like a "dark etherum".
Big idea!
Cool! Smiley
I agree! Wink

(but exist a DRK blockchain? and ethereum if isnt scam, do this service, with every coin...)

Cool. Thanks. Maybe the devs will happen to see the post  Roll Eyes

BCX comes here in curious mood because he got several PMs (and not because he had an agreement to find exploits DRK)

BCX says he has a deal with XMR.

XMR devs says no.

BCX says he has a deal with Risto.

Risto says no.

BCX's credibility seems rather low right now...

DRK is based on Bitcoin which is a whole different game than finding fundamental issues on cryptonote.

The coin as a coin will never have an issue unless Bitcoin's code is found to be problematic. The anonymity "module" can have bugs or holes, but these are fixable - and such issues have been found and patched in the past (and more can be in the future). DRK is new and that's to be expected. So, from my perspective, there is nothing worrying here. If there was anything really serious (like in the BTC code), the entire BTC ecosystem would go down.

The instantx module might present new weaknesses, allowing new vectors of attack, but that too can't compromise the btc-code that runs the coin at a core level.

I find the timing of this pathetic FUDSTORM attempt interesting...Same day as InstantX starts testing. Trying to lower our morale, perhaps?

I'd like to officially state, for and on behalf to the Monero core team, that this is the biggest load of rubbish we've ever read.

We have no deal with BCX, nor have we ever had a deal with him. In fact, our many attempts at engaging him have come up empty.

Yes Flufferboy you are correct, I dealt with rpietila directly which you and Smooth have said many times is not part of the dev team. So in a way, you're correct.

I also have no agreements or financial dealings with BCX.

Nothing I can prove here in this forum.

Off this site, you have indeed and I will keep my end of the bargain concerning XMR.

As far as DRK, I am only going to find the holes, how to do it and provide them to rpietila.

Whatever he does with them, is on him.

Please note that the underlying tactic relies entirely on separation leading to isolation, confusion of the facts due to the isolation, and finally .. whatever it is the terrorist wants .. well they will get it if you let the confusion lead you there.

These are literally out of the book tactics that are here to tear not only this thread, or another thread, but this entire forum apart .. and are overall pretty common in any kind of threatening movement.

Note that there is advanced hostility amongst coins, and it's been played on the tune that a lot of these people seem to think they're vying for the same markets. How many people here have found themselves hating other people here, because of a coin they like (keep in mind this is separate from the coin itself), for no real good reason? If you tell me zero, and you've been here for more than a year, I know you're lying.

Don't let it get the best of any of you.

Keep asking questions, settle on no answers, follow the money.

Good luck.

And it's only at the end of fall, that we discover it was naught but the wind that knew when one particular leaf was to fall from one particular tree, only to land in one distinct spot .. to be left for an eternity, and waste its time in a wait sublime. C0A2A1C4

Anonymity is a serious business. Any bugs or holes need to be found, fixed and the technology be given the general nod for DRK to be taken seriously.
