Acorn Archimedes, ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64, Amiga 2000, i386, i486, P, PII, PIII...  and so on  Cool

I jumped in at Commodore 64 and took the Atari ST route to my first 286  Cheesy

How I wished I had crossed paths with the ST. Oh man... To this day of of the most steady MIDI clocks ever built !

Ahhhh, so that's why every time I went to a party I saw a lot of the bands with them...

Dude you've solved one of the great mysteries in my life  Cheesy

The new generation have arrived and they brought their own currency...

He apparently describes one bug, is there any truth to his claim?

Not until I see Evan's response.  If he did find a bug, it will be fixed in short order I'm certain.

Im sure it can be fixed but if true, then his other claims have ground to stand on. Can anyone test his claim on a testnet ?

Firstly, I have no doubt that there are minor bugs that greater minds than me will find in darksend over the coming months and even years.  Its the nature of the beast.

However, compare CrazyIranian666's postings to the person who actually did find an exploit and intercept a fair few masternode payments.  There are plenty of offers of bounties.  Hell, if Evan and the dev team could verify each of the claims to be as serious as they are suggested to be I'd be happy to pay a very substantial bounty for the information to be handed over appropriately for fixing.

The thing is, this particular person has jumped straight to I WILL DESTROY YOUR CURRENCY and BURNING THE MIDNIGHT OIL to create a DARKSEND DEANONYMISER.  So what do we have here according to their statements on Reddit?

1)  Somebody who has found a few minor bugs and feels like king of the world right now.
2)  Somebody who has found a series of critical bugs that render Darksend worthless but has little interest in financial gain or assisting the dev team fix problems. (why on reddit??)
3)  Somebody who is totally full of shit and is shouting nonsense on Reddit.

I guess we we will find out today.

Personally I'm hoping that this person has found some problems and is willing to help.  That would be a far better situation than option 3).

it does smell a bit when given some time to ponder...

I mean why set the currency on fire when you can help fix the so called "bugs" and get paid to do so. Darkcoin is not extremely well known to have a market for a DEANNON, but there is a bounty to fix bugs... hmmm

Regardless if there are or aren't bugs found....all software has bugs - but I have more faith that Evan can fix and release patches faster than damage can get out of control.

So no worries, find, fix, make stronger Smiley

Something that sticks in my mind is that there is a possibility of something working on testnet but not on main net.

Anyway, I'm sure we will find out one way or another today. Whatever this is, its either FUD or something that will ultimately help DRK.

In the meantime I'm off to buy a load of BTC just in case we have some panicky investors  Cool

Sounds like we should hire this guy as he apparently has the time, energy, and skill?

At least he finds something compared to BCX. Smiley

I will not get anything from publishing my ideas and helping to fix them. So I want to inform you, that I will shortly setup a "Darkcoin Deanonymizer" which will for every single darksend transaction be able to link incoming and outcoing transactions.

I don't understand is that a threat ? He wants money "or else" ?  Cheesy

.....later I got a hi-res graphics "cartridge". (They were'nt cards in those days). That might be one sticking out the back of that thing atcually.
