Total Masternodes: 1140 = 1140 actives + 0 inactives (Last refresh: Sun Dec 07 2014 3:33:09 PM)

This is inaccurate. My node is runing, but is not shown there.

The count is pretty close. I just pulled a masternode count in a separate client and it was 1148...

I guess those running v0.10.16.x and lower are not counted as the chart on https://drk.mn/masternodes.html to ignores older versions (I know for a fact there are more MN on v0.10.16 than 0.1% - probably is that what the title saying "only the latest protocol" means).

ltcgear.com/  claims to have asics capable hashing X11 by late January, what do you guys think?

They started a little while back with their Dual Mods.  At first I thought it was bullshit but when the DRK started rolling in and I was producing more DRK then my farm ever could, without the electricity bill, I kept my mouth shut and enjoyed the extra DRK...

PM me if you like and I'll take you through it...

He's either a FPGA God or it's gonna be the greatest Ponzi in Crypto history  Wink

I have been enjoying dual mode myself, but this new asic is a game changer... Totally!

Yes it does seem the days of GPU mining is over...

With GPU developers selling 2x miners to large private farms and now some very clever people cracking the ASIC resistant algo's, the face of mining is changing permanently.

I don't think it's a bad thing, it's the nature of the beast, just hope it doesn't suppress the price for the entire PoW phase...

The new generation have arrived and they brought their own currency...

Just looked @ my account on darkcoin foundation and saw that:

Order #297 was placed on December 7, 2014 and is currently processing

Does this mean there were 297 people who had done subscription? If yes than WOW we`re getting BIG!

BE SMART, USE DASH ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

guys i love darkcoin more than any other coin by far and Ive never used the darksend feature so two days ago i enabled darksend mixing for 4 rounds and still as of this moment its still idle? is no one using the mixing? its hard for me to believe in two days no one else has tried to anonymize funds. For this to become widely adopted there needs to be something entice users to enable darksend mixing.

I've been mixing for a few days without issue. Try opening the console and do a "darksend auto" which will try to denominate, look in the debug.log to see what it says.

I started anonymizing with 4 wallets 2 hours ago, each with between 20 and 50 DRK in one input.

Two of them seem to work fine and have gone through 5 rounds i.e. 62%, but the other two are still at 0% and have inputs 28.974 + 0.5125 + 0.5125 and 39.63366667 + 0.5125 + 0.5125 and are trying to submit, "Submitted to masternode, waiting in queue".

I did "darksend auto" on those two misbehaving wallets just now, and the reply was "DoAutomaticDenominating". I'll wait what happens, if it will create suitable denominations after a while.

EDIT: apparently "darksend auto" did something, as those two wallets just started denominating and mixing.

Welcome Patrick McHardy to the team!

Patrick is a freelance Linux kernel networking developer and used to lead the netfilter project (http://www.netfilter.org) until 2013. He's been working on anything related to networking from firewalling, IPv4/v6-stack, QoS to DECT and GSM for the past 14 years.

He's also helped analyze the security of the Masternode network and was responsible for finding two recent security vulnerabilities in DSEE/DSEEP.

So, anyone going to help me out with mixing these coins? Darksend has been sitting at 66% for about 36 hours now, doing nothing.
< 10 coins, Darksend is idle.

Which would imply that mine should be mixing with yours?
Something seems wrong... I'm after some support.
I've scoured the internet and can find nothing. Can't see how this is going to get mainstream adoption if people are struggling to use basic advertised functionality - instructions are hard to find and not exactly easy to understand, messages and debug log are both pretty incomprehensible... and I'm a developer, how is joe public going to use this?!

Guys, you need to be patient with the mixing. Depending on network conditions it may take several days even for a small amount of DRK. It is just a simple issue of adoption.

If you legitimately think you have found a bug or if the mixing has made 0 progress after a long time send your debug file to Evan and I am sure he will take a look.

Lmfao the guy stays all day long on improving the code and yet you cannot create an autoupdate script  in one min Cheesy

Hey smart guy, maybe not everyone is as quick as you are. It takes me a minute to get a correct URL; with my Virtual Machines and clumsy linux skills updating a few MN takes a time. And we are not talking about myself - there are hundreds of people doing the same and you can see here how much confusion it creates.

Again - not complaining, just saying that I would appreciate the autoupdate feature.

Edit: thanks uzer23 for the link.

Updating a MN takes less-than 5 sec's when you make a few changes to the follow lines to fit your configuration
copy and paste into your command-line, once you make the minor changes, as is and BOOM your done....
yes - copy and paste the whole thing

Code:

cd drkdl
wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/darkcoinproject/darkcoin-binaries/master/darkcoin-0.10.17.23-linux.tar.gz
tar xfvz darkcoin-0.10.17.23-linux.tar.gz
darkcoind stop
sudo rm /usr/bin/darkcoind
cd darkcoin-0.10.17.23-linux/bin/64
sudo cp darkcoind /usr/bin
sudo chmod 775 /usr/bin/darkcoind
cd
sudo reboot

I have a cron set-up so my reboot restarts the MN :-P

Oh my gosh, was that fast.  I also have a cron job to start my darkcoind, but never thought to use it like this!  I'll have to edit my video comments saying "now that you understand how and why, do it with this script", LOL.

when i click darksend transaction it says 0 darksend balance

Unless you have completed DS, you will have 0 for a darksend balance. You said you were doing 4 rounds, what amount did you specify to anon and how many coins are currently in the wallet? In coin control, where are you at in rounds for your denominations?
in options i have 2 drk set to anyomize at 4 rounds, its been sitting idle for almost 3 days.. im sure its something im doing wrong at this point since most people don't have a problem and i can be an idiot and miss obvious things.

Edit: You can't anonymize 2DRK, it's MUST be at least 2.5DRK (so use 3DRK). However, I'm not sure why you're not getting an error. I'll look into that.
