I wanted to put 10 BTC in xrp about 6 weeks ago (and then again last week).  What a turd I am for giving it a miss because of the extra printing of coins they made.

I gave XRP a miss just cos I didn't like it. I don't really rate these brokering technologies as investments - I'd rather invest in something original.

Look on the bright side. DRK just sails on consistently consolidating its position in the technological landscape. At least I wasn't off my nut enough to raid that cupboard for speculative gain.

We are at a lull point in crypto. I don't know what the next move is, I really don't. Setting aside an all-out collapse for now, I suspect one of 2 things:

[1] - a "Cryprus" type event (could have been Russia)

[2] - adoption by commercial retailers quietly crosses a critical mass point where the quantity of people buying 0.01 BTC just to order a hairdryer gets high enough to start slowly capitalising the entire economy

I've no clue how near or far away from [2] things are. The closest clue I got was seeing the CEO of Bitpay on the Keiser report the other day. He's talking a couple of years, though they've got something like 50,000 signups so far which is about 5 times what they had 12 months ago I think.

I use different passwords for each wallet.
Before copying wallet on PC I use AWDcleaner + Malwarebytes before I do anything what is combined with the drk wallets. So far so good.
Eduffield we need 2FA quite quick to avoid this kind of problems.

Thanks for the kind words Tante.  Really appreciated.   A minority of my crypto has been stolen but I had to work hard to buy it so I'm pretty angry.  I don't feel violated.  As I said, I hope who stole it needs it more than me.

I don't want to speculate too much but the two wallets  that were compromised had the same passphrase.  Thats the only commonality.  The other (n) wallets on my PC have been running and were uncompromised.  The only thing that is troubling me is that one was BTC core on my PC and the other Darkcoin QT on my mac.  There is an active fileshare between the two.

Was the PC on Windows?

Yes, soon to be resolved.  Well, I need to have windows for work but I'll work something out.

Don't forget how having Otoh on board is good for Darkcoin.  The more masternodes we have the more robust our anon is and the quicker ITX will run!

Exactly, thats the whole point of masternode payments, to encourage masternodes as they are good for the network... Once DRK starts to rise the value of the payments will be higher...

Have no clue. Just sent quite some FIAT over there this morning. Kraken (Jesse Powell) was chosen as consultant for the Mt.Gox case, since that there was a huge influx of customers. I suspect this price drop made everyone crazy and overloaded the servers? I have no clue. Always nerve recking seeing this stuff happens...
