We never did see those 100+ masternodes appear did we?
no

Maybe we are seeing a 100k dump in that case  Wink

and now somebody is buying back in for about 25%

You guy's know it doesn't take much to move the market(s)

Just want until the 1st BIG mover step's in - WOOT!
(been saying this for a while now :-P

I was talking about Otoh popping up and saying that he was going to be setting up over 100 masternodes this week...was just suggesting that he changed his mind  Wink

HaHa
these kids with their stories "everybody listen up, i have 100 MN's ready to go  ...."

Strange how i worked like a slave in order to get my first masternode ( living in a shitty European country is no fun ) and after i got all my bitcoins, now i'm not that sure anymore. I love everything about DRK except the way it's being branded. Would love to see the coin stripped off its Dark title and be more centered around InstantX.

"Insert title" that performs super fast transactions and that can provide anonymity if necessary. - would sound so much better in my opinion. 1 Billion users on facebook already show you that they don't give a flying F about privacy. Most of the people that i've talked to, they are pretty skeptical when they hear about Bitcoin. I don't even have the courage to mention them about Darkcoin. You might as well call it "Illegal Coin", "BuyDrugsCoin" and many more. If there's anything that will stop this coin from reaching a large scale adoption, it would be the name and its already established negative meaning. It would also place InstantX into the shadow.

The absolute worst people in history, ranked by the wisdom of the crowd: "Vlad the Impaler", "Mihnea the Evil", "Ivan the Terrible" and "Evan the Instaminer".

I have to agree... I'm currently setting up a new business and will be accepting Bitcoin, I was going to also accept Darkcoin until I thought about how it would look to my potential clients and decided not to accept it simply because of the name. I'm a massive supporter and investor of Darkcoin and everything is stands for and I understand the reason for Evan choosing the name, but if we want Darkcoin to gain mainstream adoption, the name must be changed.

If a massive supporter like myself won't accept Darkcoin because of the ramifications associated with it and how that would affect a normal business, then what chance does darkcoin have in going mainstream.

Stick with the Darkcoin name and is will be accepted by Dark markets, gambling and porn businesses.

Change the name and it will be accepted by everybody

I really can't see an upside in keeping the Darkcoin name.

Well considering that you worked like a slave to fund a MN, I'm sure the name could be changed.

Wow - looking at the bigger picture - This is really our biggest down-turn since the start of NOV

Looks like we could see a new bottom of 0.004 -...... edited/deleted the rest of this line
China loves to sell-short

With miners selling, a short-sell is nearly a sure thing, as sad as it is, without new money coming in

edit: ugh - .........................good night......................FADES TO DRK

I reckon we've seen the bottom and Billy Big BTC will pump us until we can't walk when the USA wakes up  Grin

Come on Stonehedge!  Be right for once in your life!  Baby's got to eat!  Grin

You don't even need to worry about rebranding until Bitcoin starts getting "accepted by everybody". Fact of the matter, even with the name and the target niche of "Dark markets, gambling and porn businesses", that's billions in revenue for a coin that fills that. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I don't see DRK overtaking BTC but I see value (incredible value) in a coin that serves those niches. Besides, with AML and KYC laws, and the struggles BTC is already having, good luck selling Darkcoin to regulation.

With just the markets you seem to hold so negatively, I feel it's well worth being a part of, let alone investing in. But that's me...

I'm not arguing that market size of "Dark markets, gambling and porn businesses" isn't massive but as I understand Darkcoin's goal is to provide a better version of bitcoin that includes true transaction anonymity, instant transactions and better security for eveybody. With the Darkcoin name as it is people will only be able to use those features if they are purchasing from Dark markets, gambling and porn businesses! Is this what we want?

I personally would like everybody to have access to these features but the problem is merchants won't accept Darkcoin with the current name and branding. This leaves most people stuck with Bitcoin with it's slow speeds, low security and poor anonymity.

I don't believe this is what Evan wanted and let's face it, re-branding now would be pretty easy!

 I'd appreciate some suggestions.

Anyone can recommend the best email service that guarantees anonymity? As in .gov snooping? As in, the exact opposite of gmail?  Wink
