Pool software updated, new email informers added.
  • miner connection informer (report about died miner)
  • "new block found" informer
  • 24h pool stats with your and pool statistics

For miner connection informer you should enable this option in your profile and tune informer settings for each your miner.

Please test new informers and report about any bugs.

To activate long polling, it looks like this? Or does it automatically activated as long as the client support it?

<client> ....  http://user@miner:pass@btcmine.com:8332/lp/ .... <options>

Automatically, no need any changes for connection string.
Long polling enabled only for tested versions of miners.

Thanks,
I see it working with LP now. It was the FASTLOOP that made it deactivated.

Hi.

I'm new to Bitcoin and BTCMine. Started mining yesterday using ufasofts bitcoin-miner.exe. At first all run well with 22 to 30.4 MHash/s (Intel e5300, 2,7Mhz - Radeon 4650HD-AGP). Then I got disconnected by my provider (UMTS-Webstick - german eplus-net) and now got problems to start up mining again. Bitcoin-miner shows 2 Threads, usage of SSE2 and a RV730 GPU as before, but keeps standing at 0 MHash/s with no developemet whatsoever. I've also tried phoenix GPU miner (can't load a library) and mOmchil's GPU poclbm miner (wants Cuda-support, that my card can't offer). Can anyone help me figuring out the problem?

Silverfang

edit: Using jgarzik's CPU miner for the moment. But as getting up to 30.4 MHash/s is a bit better than getting around 1 MHash/s, i'm sure hoping that the one or other got an idea how to get bitcoin-miner running again...

edit2: Got it up and running again... Was a simple error of case-sensitivity meets c&p ... (needed an "A" in the miner name where I saved an "a" in the notes...) I'm sorry for stirring things up.
@ dbitcoin: Thx for the info.

1) 4650 support OpenCL, there is no CUDA at all for AMD GPU's
2) mOmchil's GPU poclbm and Phoenix use OpenCL
3) You must install fresh driver for your videocard from AMD with OpenCL suppport (or install ATI SDK). Go to http://amd.com
4) All mobile providers - it's a disaster for mining due: bad routings, network timeouts, unstable connection, traffic shaping and port blocking.

Hi dbitcoin,

I asked the guy from BitcoinWatch to put your pool hashrate on the pie chart with slushes and deepbit.net, he said he was going to ask you.

http://www.bitcoinwatch.com/

I would really like it up there so i can monitor relative size of all pools I use. (I notice he put luke-jr's pool up which is smaller than yours already)

Do you want it up there? Is the data available to him easily? Is there any reason it can't go up there?

Cheers,

moa.

I like this pool, I don't want to see it go. I think Bitcoin needs more smaller pools instead of a fewer large ones. Anyway.

Would it be too difficult to put a check box in our profiles, perhaps under services, to automatically donate 2% out of our payouts? I would very much prefer this over sending coins. In fact, I would check the box immediately.

This would make donations much easier, and if everyone checks it, you will still basically have the prior 2% fee. Plus, when it's easy, people are more likely to donate.

Thoughts?

I will add donation checkbox in the next pool update.

Could you explain in more detail what the exploit here is?  I've got a few naive theories, but can't figure out a practical way to turn open registration into some sort of attack or DDOS.

It's not exploit, it's just hashing power from botneted PC's. I not need such members in my pool.
