Either way... there are plenty of smaller pools to throw some hash rate at, including Pot.CripToe.Com.
I've mentioned it before, but statistically, you will earn more coins per day on a smaller pool than a larger pool. I'm not sure exactly why, but try for yourself and see. I typically see at least 10% more profit on pools that are in the 40-100MH range, than pools that are over 100-200MH. I see this with my TAG pool, which is ranks as the top or second highest hash rate pool in the world for TAG.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the
subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The
subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

we need people to mine on some other pools other than pot ogres because we have about 80% of the network right now.
EDIT: 90%+ of the network, prepare for a fukken fork.
yup and my GTX 560 was hashing at 10MH/s according to their dashboard earlier so I think you could be wrong

I recommend using CripToe's pool, after this week of continual ddos attacks he is the only one to stay up, plus there is a block reward bonus and 0% fees

Thanks for the props, mate! The pool is running at 0% fees right now, but I have suspended the block bonus until after Valentine's Day. I paid out about 10k POT in block bonuses so far, and I just need to pad the wallet a little to continue the bonus. -Fuse

Am at a - ; I think this is going to be an awesome crypto. It has a motive and its target industry is huge. Pretty decent community and good devs. Why shouldn't it take off?

Bitember gave me 0 fees indefinitely so its sucks to see em go! Any official word? Pot is fantastic. But I think you have to be stoned to think this coin is going to be a success.
I think its the opposite! I think the coin has the potential to be really successful .. There are some adoption hurdles but nothing time cant fix. If you want to pass somekind of judgement can you wait until the official launch date?.. By then im sure we will have a fud section.. It will be right next to the marijuana vs corn thread. http://www.drugscience.org/Archive/bcr2/cashcrops.html Looks like it took all of 5 min to make!

I have been off the thread for a while but still have been very active with networking with new dispensary owners in MA to use cryptocurrency integrated within their POS systems. 20 dispensaries just got the final approval to open in this state and many will be opened within 6 months. Still trying to find ways to best get POTCOIN within the dispensaries. One of the many ways is to introduce this as a rewards based system that the shop owners give out to the customers as a donation. The dispensaries would hold onto a large amount that they acquire from a mix of donations and purchasing from the open market.
This coin has a lot of potential, big whales do not waste power costs on mining a coin they think will have no value in the near future.. I expect this coin to be dumped hard once it hits an exchange like Cryptsy. However, supply and demand curve will quickly shift when the cannabis industry wants to use a new cheap cryptocurrency within their business model. Hold on for a good ride, or sell off to soon and hope you have a chance to buy back.

I found out about POT in one of your threads here! Nice to see you still at it..

Looks like it took all of 5 min to make! [/quote] Maybe so, but design and HTML programming expertise aside, I would say that it's the basic idea of circulating potcoin to people that's the important thing to note. Same with eBay sellers. Good on them. More people spreading the word about potcoin is a good thing.

When you backup your wallet you should be able to save the file anyway. I've saved directly to different drives and usb sticks so it's hard to say, I never use Apple products so it's all foreign to me

If you are taking money for pot, why not just accept an established currency like litecoin or novacoin? Because it has 'pot' in the name of the coin. Besides, the name CannabisCoin would have been much better IMHO. If you are pro hemp industry or medical marijuana I think you'd get behind CannabisCoin faster than pot coin. Basically we have over 200, 250 not very original copy coins now. Do we really need another? What's the point of making a coin that has such a narrow focus? I'm going to bow out of this conversation. Don't want to rain on any parades here and I admit I haven't read more than 30 seconds about this coin. There are just.........too..........many............coins.

I wouldn't say targeting a worldwide multi-gazillion dollar business as having "narrow focus". "Narrow focus" is what you have when you only read about something for 30 seconds before posting a myopic statement about it.

Anybody here have an idea at what POT will settle at when it peaks? Not being dead serious just wondering what peoples thoughts on the coin are and what price it could get to in the future, be that in $ or POT/BTC http://www.reddit.com/r/potcoin/comments/1x152d/anybody_here_have_an_idea_at_what_pot_will_settle/its already worth .54 updated from .07 on the pot tv channel site. People are selling low because some whales came in and got difficulty to 27-29 then dumped and market is recovering, when situation stabilizes, prices should rise when things get things back to normal. The same thing is going on with several coins atm. Big market manipulators are in action on 2 fronts, the hashrate/diff,market. They are getting big rigs, massive dumping, only to buy back up at a lower price in smaller quantities making lots of smaller trades for cheap. See how they are doing it on doges, its the same on Pot and about 2-3 other coins I witnessed/seen.
