"The ethereum killer is ethereum, the ethereum of China is ethereum, the ethereum of Taiwan is ethereum… 2.0.”

That was the opening statement of Vitalik Buterin, Ethereum’s inventor, at BeyondBlock in Taipei where he laid out a plan to reach Visa levels scalability within the next 3-5 years.

The main problems facing ethereum are privacy, safety and scalability, he said. With privacy being 3/4th solved, according to Buterin who was wearing a Byzantium t-shirt, referring to the latest ethereum hardfork."

The rise to dominance of Ethereum as the second crypto currency in the global ranking has been the best thing that has happened to Ethereum. The time frame for transaction makes Ethereum to be unique. For me Ethereum transaction is the fastest one among all the cryptocurrencies because transactions are within seconds.

Judging by the features and concept of this wonderful crypto i like and appreciate everything about it except the fact that There is no maximum. 60,102,216 ethers were created during the sale, plus 2x pools of 9.9% each. 26% of 60,102,216 will be created through mining every year. This means that 15,626,576 will be created every year on top of the 60m and the two pools

I really hope with the upcoming updates of Etherum that we see a nice raise in price next year. Should be possible.

Ethereum is best for long term investment as it is being picked up by many institutions and companies. This new article and revised roadmap released by Vitalik shows the potential and use cases. This doesn't mean Ethereum will not grow but in long term it will be important player in this economical space.

Totally agree here, Ethereum is a long game Coin. But on the other hand, I am kind of scared that a new solution will disrupt and eventually maybe even take over Ethereum. As Ethereum also got scaling issues and the switch to PoS will only benefit the whales, so there might be better solutions coming up in the near future.

A agree with some of you here, Ethereum is quite stable at this price, and I will say that for sure until the end of this year it will hit another high limit. While BTC is up there climbing as people are in fever about it, ETH is calm but sure.

It is really too stable. Sooner or later, it will surge.
If you look at USDT market in poloniex, almost all the other coins make 2X or 3X growth last month.

True on the one hand, but on the other you cant compare ETH too all the other altcoins that are out there. ETH has already a market cap of 44 billion, there is no way that it will double or even tripple in the short term. All smaller coins that did this, only have a fraction of the market cap ETH currently has. I will be very happy if we reach 50 billion market cap by the end of this year, should also enable a good rise in price (not x2 or x3 though).

Glad i have at least 12 Ethers in my trezor wallet. I ain't going to sell them no matter what. It is logical that ethereum will go above 1000$ in the short term. when i want to transfer bitcoin i convert to ETH then back to bitcoin, is cheaper sending money this way Tongue and faster.

I'm a professional Spanish translator. Projects like WePower, Envion, Atlant, etc. Among others... are part of my portfolio. Hire me or sign me up as a bounty participant for your project!

What makes you so certain about that? If your definition of short term is withing the next 3-4 months, I agree, but if you mean this year still, I really cant see that. ETH going to $1000 would need a big rise in market cap and as ETH's market cap is already high and moving very slow as we have seen in the last 6 months... would be hard to climb to $1000 this year I guess.
I agree, having ETH in cold storage is great, I have mine in my Ledger!

I think the price will dump again due to the bitcoin continue rising, even the current price @460 USD, but only worth 0.04BTC in this time.  Cry

You are eth price should also grow in terms of bitcoin, i mean ATH was 0.15 bitcoin but now we are below the quarter value in terms of bitcoin, if it goes back to that range now the usd value will be around $1600-1800 which will be great.

I agree!! I have no doubt that ETH price is going up to $1000, but that will happen next year! Market Cap needs to grow and some believes that next year Market Cap is going to reach 1-2 Trillion in 2018! We'll see!
