I think that when some of the mainstream applications like Augur come online that the price will rise....it's still so new and complex that it takes time to develop....really good things take time! |

Augur is what decentralized gambling? You know what the problem is? Services like these will never work on any large scale because there's no advertising. ...its like saying hey everyone there's this awesome thing you can do but no one's going to know because it's not run by anyone nor promoted. And there will be a few hundred ppl making these as novelties or company sports betting that is about it.

not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but was just wondering if anyone knows whats up with oneether's pool? payments from the pool were regular and steady up until last week, but there hasnt been anything done in a week now. im a low hashrate miner, and have been using oneether since its inception, but no response has been received when i wrote them on facebook. id want to trust them, i like their service, and with their whole platform released as open source, it seems as though they are trying hard to be a real player in the community, but with no payments made whatsoever recently, the pool is down to two miners, myself and someone else. im still making shares, even though im not making MUCH overall.
is it time to walk away from oneether to another pool?

I think that when some of the mainstream applications like Augur come online that the price will rise....it's still so new and complex that it takes time to develop....really good things take time!
When will Augur come online? Sometime around the first of the new year is the target I believe. |

I believe its a prediction market and not necessarily a decentralized gambling market. |

I wouldn't bet that Bitcoin will see its next halving... Hilarious. I wouldn't bet that Ethereum ever sees any mainstream adoption... I think you would be wrong, ehtereum is the first to explore what the blockchain can do more! Let's wait and see, but this is what the blockchtechnology can bring, decentralised decion maing, decentralized governing etc etc etc, contracts, file storage, continu continu. I do agree that that is the potential, we'll have to wait and see what happens  |
