Wondering if good or bad news?

Ethereum’s Blockchain Reaching 3GB in Size Already
With Bitcoin’s blockchain data files already over 50 GB in size and Litecoin’s blockhcain size approaching 7 GB there are some concerns rising about the rapidly growing in size blockchain of Ethereum.

I think you've put your finger on a problem which a lot of people would like to know the answer to. Is the fate of all well-used blockchains to become centralised because of the immense computational power that will eventually be needed?

Does anyone have any suggestions as to the Holy Grail solution? I know a lot of people are working on it, but, as far as I am aware, nothing practical has appeared on the horizon yet.

Lots of good things coming out of DEVCON which is adding to the confidence in Ethereum. That might be influencing the price as well.

This is really good news as this would mean that probably Ethereum would be Bitcoin's successor in the near future. Big companies such as Microsoft and IBM have gain their attention in Ethereum's decentralized app concept and are entering this scene. There is something that I'm concerced about, and that is the block size. as Bitcoin right now has been facing issues with it (remember Bitcoin XT?) Perhaps, Ethereum will solve this problem and go head to head with VISA, also with better TPS. Just my opinion.  Cheesy

any exchange for ethereum?

I use poloniex.com.

You can find the exchanges for any coin by looking it up on coinmarketcap.com, and clicking the MARKETS tab.

thanks:-)

Is there a list of all Dapp in circulation?

I found this link that has a list of D'Apps in progress.  The list is growing very quickly so get your's in as soon as possible if you don't want it to be buried in the list!  http://dapps.ethercasts.com/

Blockchain size is not a problem for ETH at the moment.  Still on Frontier release, plenty of time to mitigate and strategize, imo

having hard time connecting to peers here...any add nodes to mist wallet?

Hey, will you post the link to the Mist wallet so I don't have to do a comprehensive search...I must be tired because my compulsory search couldn't find it.  That happens to me sometimes when I get stuck in cyber space for prolonged periods....things are developing so quickly in crypto-world I'm afraid to shut down....think I'm developing some sort of psychological illness from the amount of time I spend submerged within this space. FOMO for sure!

Wow, thanks.  Downloaded and syncing now.  I downloaded the Ethereum wallet because I have the C++ client installed instead of the GO client.  I hope I don't have to start all over from scratch....I haven't transferred my ether from the exchange because I haven't felt secure in my abilities with the client yet so....Huh  We'll see how it goes!
