Which is the best wallet for ethereum in windows. I used one a long time ago but fails to synchronize, would appreciate your help.
Should be this one: https://github.com/ethereum/mist/releasesaltho i have problems now. stuck at 2339693. Have no ideas why. Had peers and all. Now try to sync from scratch. I am actually surprised it goes so fast. I dont have SSD and have 3/4 synced really fast. Not to mention my old chaindata folder was 27 GB, now is under 5 GB and only 1/4 blocks left. I'm going to download the 64-bit windows version and this is my first time, how long does it take to sync fully? And what internet speed do you have so I can compare how long will it take for me to download ?? GB of data. you need one day to download the blockchain (it depends on your the internet speed) I think is better to use myetherwallet.

They are taking way to long to update the Ethereum wallet to counter these attacks that slow your computer. Way to many problems. These continued attacks and the inability to stop them and the extremely slow wallet update to counter the attacks are not good for Ethereum. The price is going nowhere fast untill they start properly addressing these issues to say the least.

I have let it for 9 hours and it is still on block 1,3M, there were some unexpected windows update which slowed the process. Anyway I'm going to let it the whole day and see what will happen and will check this myetherwallet, what's the difference btw? And the Disk is 100% in use which I don't like much. Does MyEtherWallet offers private key of the address?

To sync your ether wallet fast you should 1. Use newest version of software (geth/parity) available 2. Sync from 0 because there is often database version/structure migration which lasts more than sync from 0 even if you have only few blocks left.. 3 . Look for the further details at Ethereum media as blog twitter etc.. sometimes giving special flag can help

I am super surprised it went to fast. My computer is old and I was using Mist from January. I synced every few weeks and it always went so slow. But I most likely do soem stupid things in January since altogether used quite a lot of my disk space. Now i have it all in 8 GB. And syncing was only few hours. Sometimes is just good to start over from scratch

You're the reason I wish I hadn't purchased ETC. Your cheap insults are just making this arena more toxic than it needs to be

Usually, I just fire up Parity every few days and let it update the blockchain! And, only open up the Geth 0.8.4 when I'm doing some transactions.

I closed wallet and it stuck there. similar as three days ago. I will let it go a bit, but if it will not sync i might just start from scratch every time i want to use wallet. lol OK i am trying parity now.
