For those using other wallets aside MEW, you need this update as soon as possible.
Regarding surge in price, kind of think the HF added to it.
Congrats guys.
I'm using Metamask 3.11.0. Do I need to update? Metamask is extenstions browser, it automatic updated in your browser. Please let me know if I have to do anything as my ETH are in MEW & Exodus, before the Fork... ?
No to anything in your wallet if you using the wallet online like MEW, because this is online wallet. |

Support for big integer modular exponentiation (EIP 198), enabling RSA signature verification and other cryptographic applications
Support for variable length return values (EIP 211)
Addition of the ‘STATICCALL’ opcode, permitting non-state-changing calls to other contracts (EIP 214)
Changes to the difficulty adjustment formula to take uncles into account (EIP 100)
Delay of the ice age / difficulty bomb by 1 year, and reduction of block reward from 5 to 3 ether (EIP 649)

It is now 18 minutes before the hard fork as i write the time is ticking will there be another token created after the hard fork, etherdelta announces that they are ready and fund are safe.

Did they announce that another token is created after the Hard Fork? I think no now they are working hard fork for only ETH there is no intention to create another token in the ETH smart contract. |

hmmm, so it forked?? that was uneventful It is uneventful because it is planned and have purposes behind this fork. It has been planned and arranged for long time. It seems that fork has already been done at this moment. Ethereum is going through huge upgrades and changes which will have impact in future. |

I am trading ETH vs EUR, so the only fluctuation I noticed was 20 euro drop on Saturday vs Sunday, but besides that, it is quite stable recently. |

I am trading ETH vs EUR, so the only fluctuation I noticed was 20 euro drop on Saturday vs Sunday, but besides that, it is quite stable recently. Yes, I've been following eth for quite some time now. The price is very stable because it has a lot of support from other coins. Many are already trading Eth to other coins directly. I look forward on the upgrades this end of the year. |

Ethereum’s Byzantium hard fork went into effect Monday morning, initiating the first phase of the platform’s latest protocol upgrade.
The Byzantium fork is considered to be the first half of Metropolis, a protocol upgrade that has been planned since 2015. It introduces nine ethereum improvement protocols (EIPs) designed to enhance the network’s privacy, scalability, and security. The second phase — Constantinople — does not yet have an official release date but is tentatively scheduled for 2018.
