Thanks for this very vital info, it made us easily understood when is ETH 2.0 could possibly launch.

There's still a lot to fill, but considering that the market is bullish, it's not impossible that soon the minimum requirement will be completed.

Although it looking hard to achieve that by end of current month still around 65% left to get deposit to make successful the launch of ETH 2.0 but now it moving forward with speedy deposit. I hope before end of 2020 this would go live now big players are showing interest in staking.

There's been another 88K ETH deposited yesterday alone, that's 16% of the required amount within 24 hours
It's now looking quite possible to launch next month based on the current estimate:

Personally, I'm so upset with the Ethereum movement. I genuinely think ETH is lagging in price. Bitcoin is at $17,000 so Ether used to be at $800~850 range, yet now it's beneath $500 USD. Do you folks think everything is heading a better position? Any thoughts?

Ethereum has crossed 500$ today and i am sure it will break its all time high once we will be near the launch of Ethereum 2.0.  I have heard that the launch of Eth 2.0 is delayed again. Can anyone confirm the new date of the launch ?

Vitalik has not given exact dates for a long time, but it is already clear that the planned launch for December 1 will be postponed.

This was expected. Another news to add in the Eth2 delays thread hehehe. The Ethereum Foundation must prepare the bath before the whales follow. Why would the whales be the first people in risking their coins converted to another coin that they cannot sell in exchanges unless their agenda is to have influential control on Eth2?

do you mean that Eth2 will be a different coin from ETH1 ?

what is going on? how eth1 and diffrent then eth2? you talk about to change the whole blockchain. its not gonna happens. they make developments on the the to make its more faster by making less confirmation time of the block and less transfer fee..
by my point of view eth is right now good only only large transfer and more time of confirmation is the problem i hope the team could get ride of it

Deposit all reached over 73% according to the data maybe you didn't following the event. This could be the main reason why you ae betting on half even it crossed that limit few hours ago. With current speed it looking very possible at any moment.

talking about the price, one thing to take into consideration:

bitcoin is very close to $20,000, but ETH is too far from its ATH in relation to USD and much further from its ATH in relation to bitcoin

The last time I saw an ETH price higher than 0.04 BTC was in September 2018 (I even had to resort to coinmarketcap to see the specific month because I was just reminded that the year was 2018)

for the current bitcoin price of $ 18,800, for ETH to reach ATH it would be necessary for ETH in relation to bitcoin was 0.07 BTC and as I said: it has been 2 years since the price of ETH cannot exceed 0.04 BTC.

I also invested in ETH, but I'm not very optimistic about ETH overcoming or getting close to its ATH

The Argument for Cloning Ethereum

I will explain in Detail because some continue to ask "Why create another Ethereum Clone", and I have responded with the Clear Human Reason, which is that if we make ETH Chains local or business based, or Government owned in some cases even, then the Technology and Currencies are more well distributed which furthers the goal of Decentralization and is simply good for Crypto Technology because it sends it into more people's hands in the Future.

But now I will explain maybe a "why" that has been missed:

Ethereum is a IaaS, like AWS, or Azure, then it is also at the same time a PaaS like Android, as you can create an entire system of dApps and Bots.

Having a Corporate, or State, or Church, or Temple Ethereum chain is like launching your own Cloud, with no Datacenter but instead Miners setting up nodes, with everything stored and pushed through the Blockchain.

TRON and EOS are Ethereum Clones with changes or in the case of TRON, using old ETH Tech to advance in Java. There was what could be called the Parable of ETH Classic, where when the Fork happened it was unneeded and only happened because of a Hacker stealing from the largest Exchange hosted on ETH, EtherDelta. The Hacker took so many ETH, many wanted to go back to before the hack. But many did not, so there was a Fork and something of a Fued, but both survived and people's funds existed on both chains. Showing what makes the Coin is actually the Community.

Which is why there should be local chains.

TRON has a perfect example of what can be done. Metamask is confusing, TRON Link makes the ETH Environment better with its GUI, TRON seemed to be geared towards UX.

Why not have everyone in the world use these chains, and work on Local projects on chains in which they hold larger stakes and can mine more efficiently.

There has been lots of excitement surrounding ETH breaking first the $500 mark and then the $600 mark but the real success will be measured only after/if 2.0 is successfully launched. The only other short term measure of success is if ETH breaks the $1000 mark like it a few years ago otherwise you cannot really call the recent increase as a success.

I think everything will be fine with eth2, I hope they will not tighten it up and in a year or two they will succeed, and then they will come up with even more bandwidth and new functions.

So what to do?

As was said in the opening: Ethereum was a solution to a problem that only existed in people’s minds. But it never solved those problems very well, the road has been extremely bumpy, and there is a much more stable, scalable solution available today in Bitcoin SV.
