I was always against such an opinion, but only on condition that you do not change it in USDT in order to fix profits and after the fall of the market you again buy BTC, in order to increase the amount of BTC

I disagree with the author of this thread. Strategically holding of Bitcoin is very profitable. I don’t mean of course holding during last half a year but last some years. Watch the graphs and you will understand what I am talking about.

If you just want to get Bitcoigne's advantage alone, I think it will take a long time. Better you can also develop your money by buying some Altcoin, which had a progression of good and potential for growth.

Presently, It's highly risky now to invest on ICO, once market down you can get a chance. Buy alt coin and hold it up to reach on your target. Good coin never give you loss. Just need pateince. But as for bitcoin, holding for a long term can cause a two way regret, either increase or decrease.

Bitcoin will give less advantage over investment in long-term as compared to alt coins as when BTC is up, alt coins are up about 4 to 5 or more than BTC, but there is also low loss when BTC is down as alt coins are down far more than BTC. It is up to investor's choice which way to chose, more benefit, more loss then go for altcoins, less benefit and less loss, then go BTC.

Bitcoin is the most safest investment for cryoto currency than others altcoin. But your idea is good, if you want to get more Bitcoin then you can buy some best altcoin. But I still recommend to hold Bitcoin.

Hold is Bitcoin for long time, there is no much profit. You know why ?

Because if you only hold Bitcoin your balance will grow up only on USD rate. For example you hold 1 BTC . Current price 7500$. It's might 10k after some day. But you still have only 1 BTC.

Now think you have 1 btc and you convert it into BCH. Example for 1 BTC you get 10 BCH. Rate per bch is 0.1 BTC .

After some day if Bitcoin grow up, At the same time BCH also will grow up.
If bch rate grow 1.5 btc then you will have 1.5 BTC.

But before buy alt coin please select best coin to avoid dump.

So what you think. Hold alt coin or Bitcoin ?
I prefer short-term investment rather than long-term into the cryptographic market. If the market changes continuously if long investment no one sure is safe for you. But short-term investment, I can see profits immediately and always but not much. At least it gives you a sense of security than when you invest long term, you always have to watch the market, tired. Do not know anyone who thinks like me?

That's why I always hodl half my portfolio in bitcoin and invest the rest half in altcoins. But hodling a large part into a stable coin like Bitcoin is also needed instead of converting all your coins into altcoins. Cause Bitcoin is the only coin currently in the crypto markets that is here to stay.

I am a very patient person, so I bought bitcoin for long-term storage. I am ready to keep this coin for several years and I am fully confident that such a strategy will lead me to more money. Roll Eyes

In my opinion, bitcoin should be in everyone's portfolio. Holding bitcoin is less risky than alternative currencies. It is difficult to talk about stability, but bitcoin is indeed the most stable in the crypto market. Everyone should assess their own risks.

Yes, on the 10th of August we will see a decisive event with Bitcoin and the cryptocurrency market. If this decision is adopted, it could be a big turning point for the cryptocurrency market. If the Bitcoin ETF is available, it will cause the shark to try to buy Bitcoin as much as possible before being bought by ETFs, as you know Bitcoin has only 21 million BTCs in the world.

I think that everyone chooses a strategy for themselves and what to buy / sell, if you go to the market without a specific strategy, then you are very at risk of losing everything! Most of my investment is on a cold purse and waiting for better times)) Another part I trade, and so far everything turns out. If you have skills in trading, then do it, you can also make money there.

I see a huge uncertainty in altcoins. Market can change suddenly. This moment you might have a profit for your alt coins but in next moment you'll become a huge looser. But I see a pretty stable market in BTCs. However in order to get the  benifit from the price fluctuation, you need to sell your BTC to USD or any othe4 currency. If you didnt do, then it will be like the way you mentioned. Always you will have that same amount of bitcoins

it's a person's choice because now there are many potential altcoins. but for myself it is still recommended to hold bitcoin, because we know if bitcoinn is a coin that has the most potential to have a high price than other coins. so this is a good choice.

We can conclude that the price of bitcoin or altcoin at any time changes. We can not be sure to predict when prices are high and when prices are low. However, before you invest in this crypro, it is good that your needs are more than enough. And the rest of the money you have can be used for long-term investments. That is my suggestion.

Yes you are right, if I prefer to invest with altcoin because I think the prices are not too down, when the price falls.
And we can choose a variety of nice coins for investment in the long term.

Maybe you're right, but there are some periods when altcoins go down and BTC just increase in dominance, like nowadays.
I prefer holding in both altcoin and bitcoin. I diversify risks and that's it!

I believe that BTC should be the main one in the investment portfolio, somewhere around 50%. And the rest is worth using for investment in Altcoins and ICO.

As the crypto market showed, those investors who kept bitcoin in their wallet lost in the end less than those investors who kept crypto crypto projects.
