Hold is Bitcoin for long time, there is no much profit. You know why ?

Because if you only hold Bitcoin your balance will grow up only on USD rate. For example you hold 1 BTC . Current price 7500$. It's might 10k after some day. But you still have only 1 BTC.

Now think you have 1 btc and you convert it into BCH. Example for 1 BTC you get 10 BCH. Rate per bch is 0.1 BTC .

After some day if Bitcoin grow up, At the same time BCH also will grow up.
If bch rate grow 1.5 btc then you will have 1.5 BTC.

But before buy alt coin please select best coin to avoid dump.

So what you think. Hold alt coin or Bitcoin ?
First, we keep Bitcoin to make money in dollars.
Secondly, Yes it is long, but reliable at 100 percent. If you want to get 10-20x - buy altcoins! But 90 percent of what you can't tell and you lose all the money.

It depends on you. For me it is better to hold altcoin than bitcoin because other coins have great potential than holding bitcoin. Altcoin is faster profitable for short-term investments, in contrast to bitcoins that have to wait a long time.

I believe that bitcoin is something that you need to keep for a long time. It is not necessary to keep altcoins for a long time and bitcoin is the most stable asset that is likely to grow in price in the future

Since the advent of bitcoin and gold both are going up consistently. Bitcoin more so, what is the problem in hodling it for long time. Sure take profits on the way and buy back when it goes down.

I think everyone finds a more convenient way for themselves. If you have enough money, you can combine both ways.

It only happen when your Altcoin dump bigger than BTC. It's not always happen like that. But I think that isn't the main problem. The main problem right now is the market which going down.

On the contrary, bitcoin is exactly the coin that you should be holding for a long time. With coins like bitcoin, people tend to think that the coin has ran it's course, that there is no way that it will grow which is wrong. If you have bitcoin then hold them for a long time, the more time passes, the more valuable bitcoin will become, don't sell because you are scared.

I agree with this. I think the choice of bitcoin for long-term investment is not right. BitCoin graphics are so variable that it is suitable for daily trading.

But what if it's a bear market? Huh Huh
So you're converting bitcoin into ALT, and ALT is going to go down a lot, so it's a scary thing.

In my opinion, bitcoin should be in everyone's portfolio. Holding bitcoin is less risky than alternative currencies. It is difficult to talk about stability, but bitcoin is indeed the most stable in the crypto market. Everyone should assess their own risks.

For me long term is still good.  But you must monitor always the growth rate  so that you can build a new strategy, target price and to get the right timing to sell as well  'cause to be honest holding in long term isn't worth it if you are not  making technical analysis every day, which is you will end up to losing money if you let your money floating in the market without checking the circumstance of the growth rate.

I somehow agree with the topic above. I also don’t hold my bitcoin for a long time. Because in my case, I only hold bitcoin if the price is low and keeps on getting low. This is my way of cutting more losses and earning a little more.

Maybe you're right, but there are some periods when altcoins go down and BTC just increase in dominance, like nowadays.
I prefer holding in both altcoin and bitcoin. I diversify risks and that's it! Lips sealed Lips sealed
