Hold is Bitcoin for long time, there is no much profit. You know why ?

Because if you only hold Bitcoin your balance will grow up only on USD rate. For example you hold 1 BTC . Current price 7500$. It's might 10k after some day. But you still have only 1 BTC.

Now think you have 1 btc and you convert it into BCH. Example for 1 BTC you get 10 BCH. Rate per bch is 0.1 BTC .

After some day if Bitcoin grow up, At the same time BCH also will grow up.
If bch rate grow 1.5 btc then you will have 1.5 BTC.

But before buy alt coin please select best coin to avoid dump.

So what you think. Hold alt coin or Bitcoin ?
you know, after that case when people got their money multiplied in no time at all it is still a subconscious hope to get the same lucky strike

I still keep Bitcoin and some of the altcoins. I always hoped that someday good income would be achieved. Just keep investing for a longer period. Someday we will collect what we have sows.
Having different kinds of coins could increase your profit by a lot if you pick the top coins that have a lot of volume.

It can also reduce your deposit when the market is on the decline, what I've felt the last three months

On the one hand you are right, but still many people and probably me as well not so crypto related and we still need currency to pay bills, buy something to eat and so on.
I will hold my btc Wink
If you really need to spend your money on buying such stuffs that you want and stuffs that you need you better to not hold your bitcoin but if it is not necessary just hold your bitcoin so that you may earn more profit.

If you really want to feel comfortable about your investment, I would suggest coins that are POS (Proof Of Stake), so that when you obtain a position, its always gaining more coins for you, like a low interest savings account..

Yeah! Why not! If you are an investor with large capital, why not make a long-term investment? I personally can only make short-term investments, because I only have little capital. Maybe if later my finances get better, I will make a long-term investment, because this is my dream.

I do not see reason why bitcoin should not be held for as long as it needed to be.  Bitcoin is legit and bitcoin is been used daily in international trade and remmitance.  The value of bitcoin is subject to demand and supply and as more people use bitcoin,  the price will rise

B In an interview with NewsBTC, John McAfee said bitcoin will" soon take off "to become a"great value." He also criticized the social network for what they did not want to confront the SEC, which it believes is acting against the law. Defending his point of view that the bullish market is "on the way", McAfee noted that the price of bitcoin has increased since June 25 by 42%.

Bitcoin is ideal for long-term investments.  It is very risky for me to keep coins for a long time.

No.  I don't agree with that.  Bitcoin is a long term investment which needs to be held for a longer time for profits.

It is a good strategy and it can increase your money but the fact is considering the current market trend where all altcoins are falling while Btc shows some stability and minor growth each day, do you still think this will help. You may end up losing sums of  money.

I definitely agree with all the Bulls on this.  The OG of all crypto is here to stay and the fact is, you can go long and short on this one and if you have enough skill for reading the charts/news and with a little bit of luck, BTC could be a golden opportunity.  I do sell off some to buy into other projects I like, but always keep my hands on some BTC just in case the lift off happens without my knowledge, lol IMO....HODL

I hope no one buys BTC just to keep it for fun. I am yet to know someone who does that. Its not a good to keep BTC for long. I am sure the current decline in prices has been a lesson to us all..Sell when you can and make the profit, for no one knows when prices will fall.

You say it right, but nevertheless bitcoin is the most stable coin. Most experts say that it is best to store your money in several coins, so your balance will grow evenly. Even if one coin falls in price, the profit from the other coins will block the fall of the first.

Yeah, I also think the same and advise you not to hold bitcoin for the long term. Indeed for short-term bitcoin is still very potential but for the long term, I am not sure of the continuity of bitcoin. I predict that bitcoin can not last a long time and is very risky if it is held for the long term because bitcoin technology is backward. Technologically, bitcoin is inferior to some altcoins. Bitcoin doesn't show innovation and bitcoin doesn't show improvement so I'm not sure about the future of bitcoin. That is a bit of my thinking.

I think you are not quite right to think Bitcoin is not good for long-term investments.
Precisely Bitcoin is great for long-term investments because Bitcoin has the potential to develop well in long-term type.
Usually, Bitcoin increase is very large if it is 6-12 months interval.
My friend has proven if he invested with Bitcoin and for a very long time and he got a lot of profits from the investment.
