I don't think this is good strategy, because if you focus only on one item, like btc, it can be wrong. A spare option is always useful.

if we look at when bitcoin prices are crawling upwards I'm sure everyone has done that where they will sell altcoin and switch to buy bitcoin. and maybe it could happen again for now if bitcoin prices rise again I think everyone will do the same. and this is just a matter of time where everyone will wait for the right time when the bitcoin price again increases quite significantly.

Every strategy has it's risks. If you're holding alts results could end up being better or much worse than Bitcoin and if you only hold Bitcoin you could limit your losses/profit. If that analyst predicts Bitcoin to reach $10,000 then surely alts would follow the only reason to sell alts right now is if someone wants to cut their losses but at a time like this I wouldn't recommend selling alts knowing that the price could easily swing back up in the next month or two.

I won't sell my altcoin right now because I see that the altcoin have a big chance to gives me a big profit soon and I only need to wait for the time it comes. I don't want to have bitcoin only because I realize that having altcoin in my investment list will make me gain some benefits too than if I only have bitcoin. so it will be good if I can hold my altcoin in the long-term and only sell if the price increase higher so I can make a lot of profit from altcoin and bitcoin too. |

depend on the particular situations that if bitcoin in the uptrend and having bitcoin will more profitable then i would don't mind sell all of my alts and focus for bitcoin only however currently cryptocurrencies market have facing downtrend situations and i do not recommend if you only stick for bitcoin because altcoins also sometimes could give us unpredictable profit

i think it depends on our analysis. if you want to be safety, i suggest buy bitcoin, but if we analyze that altcoin is prospective, then i suggest to keep it and wait when pump happens and certainly will get more profit

Real profit is most times dependent on amount/volume invested too. Those making real profits in bitcoin at its present price are the ones with more than 1unit of the BTC. But with a lower volume or amount invested in a prospective altcoin, you did be surprised at the profit margin made in comparison to investment in bitcoin. I don't think that is an good idea cause bitcoin price could go to the moon even 3 or 4 times bigger than any other alts so investing in alts and in bitcoin at the same time could bring the most profit.

I do not fully agree but I believe that the investment in your hand should be 70 percent bitcoin as 30 percent altcoin. If you make your whole investment as altcoin or bitcoin, you will miss many opportunities.
Yes, everyone is entitled to their own decision and opinion on which market to get in and how long they want to be staying in such markets. However, from the way things have been over the years, long term investment can only be achieved in very few altcoins except you just want to hit the long term trading pattern. Not sure how things will keep being but whichever way, we are kind of stuck with the idea that altcoins are tied in movement to how bitcoin moves, which is basically as a result of how traders perceive bitcoin market and we cannot deny that fact. |

Some alt coins are really great too ,I think we are a little biased about Bitcoins at the end of the day we just have to earn profit .. don't we ? So I guess I won't mind selling just a little amount of my Bitcoins and investing in altcoins that seem to have a future , that will for sure come with some gains in the future.
Bitcoins are the most profitable of them all but sometimes we could just invest a dollar and get 3000% value in return , it has been proven time and again thus I think we should first evaluate this thing about which to invest in and off course not sell off the whole lot , just a little part of it .

Actually I prefer the bitcoin for the investments.The reason is very simple,it had good potential than altcoin.So we can expect huge price raise in bitcoin as compared to altcoin.I don't sell my altcoin,to buy bitcoin.I will keep the holding altcion for future and trade with bitcoin.

Actually, it will be depending on your decisions, the price of bitcoins will grow even more but then when the price will go dump then it was time for altcoins to increase so it will be just the same, both coins will be still profitable at the end of the day. |

Selling alts for bitcoin is really good but you need to observe and monitor the price for you to know when to sell alts at very good price. For there is no need to buy for bitcoin because selling alts is already bitcoin. |

Quite logical but too much of a risk for me so I think I'll pass. And besides, we all know that bitcoins cannot be able to bring us x100 and up gains if we can only do small investments right? So yeah, I really won't do it. I already am holding enough bitcoins in my opinion and will not over do it since I might end up losing capital that gaining profits. |

I invested my bitcoin in altcoins and now the price of them is reduced so now if I will buy back the bitcoin then I will get a lesser amount of bitcoin which is against the rules of trade. In trade you always have to care that you buy any coin at lower price and sell them at a higher price and I have invested in good coins and I know that they will increase much higher in value that is why I am waiting for a good time and then I will buy bitcoin with that. |

Well it depends ,Sometimes I sell my Bitcoin to buy some alts to gain some profit,
I would sell my Bitcoin once it starts dumping then buy some alt-coin to gain some BTC from it.
You can modify or change your business decisions by keeping the market condition in the mind. You can sell Alts and buy Bitcoin if the margin of profit in Bitcoin is more than that in altcoin. Besides, the decision can also be made on the basis of the additional benefits the technologies provide. This is called comparative analysis. The future return and the profitability are the other factors that affect the investment decisions. |

I agree with your strategy. Because I think investing in bitcoin tends to be less risky than investing in altcoins. That's just my opinion. But if selling altcoins whose prices are still falling certainly will not benefit us. So it's better to wait and sell when the price is high. Then buy bitcoin when low.

I would not recommend investing in just one crypto currency. Undoubtedly, bitcoin now leads the market, but this does not mean that you can ignore the rest of the crypto currency. To date, we can see a large number of promising coins, in which it is worth investing. Therefore, I share the investment and choose several worthy projects. Investment on one ALT coin is not a good idea, you have to consider the possible out come on the market trading at any given time, market is Volatile, no one can predict that once you invested what ever amount for such project it is automatic that you will just wait for you profits, base on the market preview, we've seen some investor losses a huge amount for one investment, it is not practical to use this kind of strategy as you say so, it is therefore advisable to spread your investment, if in any case something happened, you still have something in the market to count on. |

It depends on how you handle your investments. In my own opinion, I will not invest on btc alone, i have also to buy alts or any coins with good potential to grow and constantly having value. Depending on what marketing strategy you are confident to use. There are many ways on how to have good profits and it all up to you to decide whatever it would be. Selling of alts just to buy btc is also a good strategy for longterm investments.
