ALT coin’s value is highly correlated with the increase of BTC and vice-versa. Let’s add the USD to the ratio where ALT/BTC is also ALT/USD / BTC/USD. If people are buying more bitcoins then they are increasing the BTC/USD value. But since ALT is also rising, it means that BTC is also traded to buy ALT resulting in an increase of ALT/BTC which can also be translated to an increase of ALT/USD. The opposite is also correct, the decrease of ALT/BTC and BTC/USD together is a result of a quick sell of both BTC and ALT.

nice explanation mate, this is such a great trivia ,and thank you for that.
Thats why bitcoin price dictated the altcoins prices since every purchase must go thru bitcoin before anything goes to something thats the law of crypto market.

So its indeed that the altcoin prices depend on what would be the bitcoin price in the market

Alt coin prices does depend on BTC AND ETH price as they usually follow the trend of these coins although with the fluctuations of BTC and ETH price the price of alt coin is exponential to them

It can't be denied that all Altcoins price will mostly got affected by the price of BTC or ETH, since those 2 were old coins and many Altcoins using those platform when creating the coins, so it can't be avoided if the price is following the price of BTC or ETH.

Every day we see this situation on the market!
Pay your attention that if bitcoin falls, then absolutely all crypto-currencies fall
They can only grow when bitcoin is growing, or when it is in the corridor

I would say yes... In the last couple of months we see that the most altcoins follow Bitcoin and Ethereum in the value. It changed in last year october or something like that. Before that the altcoins started to boost when BTC went down!

not all altcoin is dependent on BTC or ETH, there are some coins like Ripple and waves, they move themselves in terms of price or sale. and there are some stand-alone altcoins that are not related to BTC or ETH. it can be seen in marketcap.,

BITWINGS - Guaranteed worth $0.20
Minephone - First smartphone that produces up to 2 ETH/month (http://minephone.bitwings.org)

Yes, you are pretty accurate.
There is another factor, BTC and ETH are the most liquidable, meaning that they can quickly and easily be converted to FIAT.
This is the main reason why the entire market is dependent on the value of btc and eth.

The reality is that, mostly, btc is what is considered the foundation of crypto.
But that is starting to change.
Even on coinmarketcap, you can see the value of coins based off of eth now.

On top of that, there are many that predict ETH will replace btc this year as #1.
This is why you should be choosing one or both to make up at least 40% of your porftolio.
By doing so you give yourself freedom to freely trade and take advantage of trading opportunities.

Since most of the alt coins are traded with BTC or ETH. SO I think altcoins prie are dependent on the price of this two.
What is your opinion please share.

yes as I've observed while trading, yes it depends on price of btc, when btc goes down, some alts do the same, but not all, some alts are still going up even if bitcoin is going down

In general, all the market is related to Bitcoin in every development, and the same for Ethereum, so when there is a huge drop in Bitcoin (like, what happened is this period), therefore the majority of cryptocurrencies will be in total and collective decline, and the opposite is true. Furthermore, I think there is a relation or connection between the king Bitcoin and the other digital currencies, and in my opinion this is the main reason for this similarity:
The balance is (selling Altcoin and Buying of Bitcoin) plus (selling Bitcoin and buying altcoin).
I see many people  think that someday Bitcoin will disappear and another coin ( like, Ethereum , Ripple.. )  will be on the top rank in the market in terms of Price, Market cap and othe characteristics, but this belief is wrong, because when Bitcoin will disappear and end then all the market will dissapear gradually.

In short periods of time, young cryptocurrencies have a high connection with the bitcoin and Ethereum exchange rate. With increasing popularity Aldona, the relationship weakens. Altcoins have the same behavior in relation to bitcoin and ether in moments of significant news.

Yes, in my opinion. this is one of the biggest problems of the crypto currency. The dependence of the price of all types of crypto currency, including ethereum, on the price of bitcoin is very tough and strong. Because of this, our coins and tokens can not grow independently in value. Maybe in the future a way will be found to get rid of such dependence. Perhaps it is necessary to somehow get rid of the steam system or to introduce a universal exchanger without using such pairs, however, doing something is necessary.

When the value of the of the bitcoin and ethereum are fslling and all currencies are fall because the reason is the fall in the economy so all are in the circle so these are possible.

May or may not. It just depends on different parameters. If a project is very good, it doesnot need any approval to be good. It just take a rocket or gone to the moon.

one way or the other they are related , since the main pairs are ETH and BTC . It is really complicated I am in a lot of ICO channel and the main fight after every ICO is ( Should the token price be related to $ in announced at the sale stage or the ETH it paid for at the sale stage  ) .

The prices of altcoins greatly depend on Bitcoin price. I do not think that Ethereum has any influence on it. But it is very popular for investing in ICos

At the moment the whole market depends on the price of bitcoin, and it looks like nothing will change in the near future. We can only wait for the end of the correction and the restoration of the market.

Yes, they are dependent and some are not depends on how solid the project is. When eth and bitcoin prices are down so the alt coins prices are also affected.

Of course, the price depends on these titans. Although individual coins certainly go against the market.
