Does Altcoin price depend on BTC or ETH??

Since most of the alt coins are traded with BTC or ETH. SO I think altcoins prie are dependent on the price of this two.
What is your opinion please share.

All altcoin in the crypto market depend on the price of the BTC. Including the price of ETH will also depend on the price of the BTC. If the price of BTC increases then the whole price of the market will increase

There are some exceptions. Sometimes the project launches the main network or the finished project. The price of this altcoin can grow strongly despite the drop Bitcoin or Ethereum. But basically, all the prices in the market depend on the bitcoin indicators.

I agree. The price of most of the altcoins dependent on the price of bitcoin mostly. Bitcoin is the oldest and the most famous crypto. So, when the price increases, the price of other coins also increase and vice versa

I think it’s normal because both coins are the leading this crypto market where bitcoin is the 1st crypto currency and have lots of profit where as ETH is the one of the leading coin after btc so based this every coin depends on their price if the price get high all coins get positive and negative affect but investing on bitcoin is more profitable than others.

I agree with you because now it is very clear ETH will always follow the BTC while the token ERC20 will also follow the price of BTC as well, just look at the condition of BTC prices are very down how the fate of Altcoin prices of course suffered great destruction, boost prices Altcoin also require high BTC prices .

If you only have bitcoin or ethereum then it will really depend on the value of those two, but the prices of alts actually depend on themselves alone, btc and eth just influence the market I guess. If you have fiat money then the price of eth and btc should be irrelevant to you if you are interested in some other altcoin.

Yes alt coins mostly traded with those two coins and those two coins play a very important part in crypto, but I think most of the people used bitcoin for buying alt coins, so bitcoin got  a bigger influence for alt coin, when bitcoin fall down all alt coins include eth also fall down, so bitcoin movement got a bigger impact for alt coins

Ethereum has the same impact as bitcoin does. Remember when EOS team was dumping a lot of ethereum to the market and then the majority of altcoin market was following it. Ethereum pair is available to a lot of cryptocurrency right now and it can be considered to have the same domination as bitcoin. Ether and bitcoin is the centre of crypto.

in my opinion altcoin from formerly dependent on BTC and not dependent on ETH hence from that, I think to hold altcoin when altcoin price decrease and then we can sell when bitcoin price rise because altcoin will follow its movement

I think the Altcoin price depends largely on bitcoin. We can observe that when BTC and ETH prices move down almost all Altcoins will fall off massively.
That's why you see that when bitcoin prices fall, the prices of all other Altcoins in the market start to fall too. Because Altcoin relies on BTC and ETH.

In my opinion altcoins are already too dependent in BTC and ETH. We could observe that when BTC and ETH price move down almost all of the alts will massively fall. This could imply that alts are dependent on BTC and ETH.

I do not see their prices dependent on either Bitcoin or Ethereum. because during this Altcoin indeed give price changes in accordance with their development and without any dependence on Ethereum and Bitcoin. but they Altcoin is trying to reach the price of Ethereum and Bitcoin.

Yes, you are right. The altcoins price are mostly depended on BTC. Bitcoin’s rate affect the market price of other altcoin. It is from the very beginning of the crypto market as bitcoin is the very first digital currency in the market.

Altcoins that are using ERC20 or people usually call it a token will heavily tied to ETH's price and while ETH's price tied to bitcoin and always following its movement, therefore bitcoin affecting the price of the entire market as a whole.
Just to make you know, so many ERC20 tokens out there are heavily dependant on ETH price movement. Except, altcoins that's outside Ethereum's blockchain, those will more likely to only following BTC price movement.

Absolutely right,thats the sad reality about the market trend now..if the bitcoin drops the altcoins goes down,and if the bitcoin grow the alts climbs too.

But one thing i notice,while bitcoin price dropping those newly accepted tokens from exchange goes up,i dont know or its just my tokens who's climbing

All altcoin in the crypto market depend on the price of the BTC. Including the price of ETH will also depend on the price of the BTC. If the price of BTC increases then the whole price of the market will increase

altcoin support is bitcoin, so when bitcoin decreases automatically altcoin price will also come down, ethereum also equally based on bitcoin.

Definitely connected, but when the BTC falls altcoins falls, when the BTC rises altcoins falls again.
