All mining power is going toward center chain. 450 blocks in the last 6 hours. This is the "correct" one lol (91311)
eligius is using modified version of eloipool. for god sake they're the ones that likely mined the transactions that tanked out gox with malleable transactions. eloipool might normalize DER coding, but not PUSHDATA2 type malleability.. and we're going to say they're the authentic chain? all that mining power is just f2pool, because i told them to copy blockchain from their sha256 pool to scrypt pool.. this was before i knew there was eligius chain... the reason i assumed the f2pool sha256 chain (middle one) was the right chain, was because i was using an uploaded chain which had gone past the first fork.. when syncing from scratch you reach eligius chain.. and client won't accept the larger chains (i'm assuming because is some invalid tx) - but maybe some reorg problem/bug what has happened is (from what i've deciphered so may not be 100% correct, although i think it is), first.. f2pool both scrypt and sha256 pool split away from eligius.. then i uploaded chain to mega.. then their own pools split... so is unlikely it's eligius doing foul play.. as f2pool had the same issue themselves? anyway.. just wait till we find out why the chains split dont' spend coins

Are you going to update the homepage? Do you have an ETA, like do you have a call in to a developer or are we all just waiting on somebody stumbling across this thread and looking into fixing things? Does anybody have the contents of the last original block chain to compare to the blocks that followed on the forks?

homepage twitter is updated devs are asleep (unless someone else wants to look) which chain do you want.. i have the one uploaded to mega which is past the first fork.. do you want the link? (although, you are already on that chain) maybe me posting so quickly is making you also want it fixing quickly.. probbaly it's best if I do what all the other altcoin guys do, and just not post for several days ??

what has happened is (from what i've deciphered so may not be 100% correct, although i think it is), first.. f2pool both scrypt and sha256 pool split away from eligius.. then i uploaded chain to mega.. then their own pools split... so is unlikely it's eligius doing foul play.. as f2pool had the same issue themselves? anyway.. just wait till we find out why the chains split dont' spend coins how many problems has the btc/altcoin community encountered from their custom pool software? i think it's crazy that they haven't been forced to fix that...

Same I think the majority of people are on this block chain. I think the only ones who are not are the ones who started from scratch or haven't updated their wallet in a long time.. I don't know if that's bad for us though.

I'm on block 91402.... Is that not the correct chain? :/
Same I think the majority of people are on this block chain. I think the only ones who are not are the ones who started from scratch or haven't updated their wallet in a long time.. I don't know if that's bad for us though. there are 3 chains. 1. Sha256 Eligius > block 89526 2. Stuck Scrypt Fork - F2Pool (they stopped mining it at my request) - Block 90874 3. F2Pool - was Sha256 of theirs, they stopped scrypt & synced to this chain ( i assumed there was just 2 forks at the time), and are now mining with both sha256/scrypt, > 91412? Problem: new players can't sync past Eligius chain.. maybe: 1. There are some invalid transactions in the longer chains.. so the chains aren't valid (don't know why client didn't reject them at the time) 2. Some bug with reorg (so clients aren't switching to the longer chain) 3. Some intentional mischief 4. combination. What probably needs to be done.. someone needs to analyse the blocks at the time of the forks, and also why we are not reorging onto the longest chain. unfortunately I do not have the skills to debug (or fix) the problem.. so we need to wait for those that do to wake up to get a better picture (might not even be tomorrow when we find out). Or, maybe someone else can help sooner.. edit: looking at the eligius chain, which probably isn't that far away from the forking... the yellow base was annihilated. if there was a reorg at this time, it's possible many people came back to life.. this is what caused forks on launch... although the issue was fixed. Maybe it is related

snailbrain there's no way you're serious right? new downloads are getting stuck because you jammed up all three of the addnode IPs on the elgius chain.
I have two VPS that are syncing to the middle chain right now, once they are synced I can release them for people to use as 'addnodes.. you can even sync your three original nodes to them at that point if you want.
then problem will be resolved.

none of the addnodes are synced at all (or even running the daemon), except khal block explorer (and i removed that from op) and that one isn't even on eligius chain so dunno where you made that shit up from... --- i was going to start a local link between 2 vm's, one with the longest chain.. and see if the other can sync from scratch by just using that as a node and nothing else... but, i need to first sync to the longest chain.. either way.. doesn't matter, there is still a problem, otherwise we would reorg to the longest chain
