Like the title says, i almost lost my regular job as a software developer today when my boss reviewed my work. The job has been able to economically provide a comfortable life for me and losing it would really be a big hit to my income. I almost lost it because i spent so much time learning about everything crypto (mining, trading, bounties, etc.).

Has anyone else experienced this? I just feel pretty lucky I was given another chance and want to remind other people that having a regular job is much better than relying on the volatility of cryptocurrencies. Make sure you prioritize your work!

When I was working, I also do some research about cryptocurrency while on duty and it somehow affected my work performance. However, ypur job can provide you a stable life as you said. You can learn about crypto on your free time without even sacrificing your job.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

I agree to that and that is the best strategy that you can do in order to avoid getting affected in your work but at the same tiem having a good progress in studying and learning the cryptocurrency. If you are at work then focus on your work and put all your attention to the thing that you are doing and just do cryptocurrency when you know that you don't have anything to do.

I just use some spare time for activities in the world of cryptocurrency because in my opinion the real job is more promising, this is indeed an option that is not easy

We could still have crypto as our extra source of income if we want to. It is just important that we know how to value our time and we should know our priorities before anything else. We must value our job but we should also know that cypto is another way to earn better.

Didnt you realize there are network filters which monitor all the employees internet usage? he would have every right in the world to let you go for researching crypto related topics while you are supposed to develop software.

Use your private smartphone for such things when you are idling (altho i think as a software dev there is always something to do).

if your actual job can provide you comfortable for life and can ensure your future then i think you have to stick to your job because crypto indeed can give the opportunities to making money but the amount of salary quite unpredictable even sometimes we lost money in trading however currently i was more focus for my actual job and only consider earn bitcoin as my side source income so earn bitcoin does not disturb my actual job

Yes, in all things one must observe a sense of proportion. If the main job is interesting, qualified, you have received a special education for this and brings you economic stability, you need to hold on to it. Many, as far as I know, even gave up the main job in cases if it was not qualified. Of course, in life there are different situations and they are so diverse that there can not be a single approach in this matter. Everyone must determine for themselves how to deal with the use of crypto currency.

Damn mate, first time I heard this story though. Although I'm a software developer myself, but its really hard to juggle your time being a developer and heavily evolving yourself in crypto business. And as a software developer, we spend countless hours writing code and I don't know how you divide your time being into crypto and doing coding at the same time. Most of the time its sleep, eat, coding for me. But with crypto also hugging my schedules, its going to be hard on your end. I suggest you really priority your work then crypto then gambling. Lol. I'm pretty sure that you will find the right solutions as developer usually is a good problem solving.

If you want to become a millionaire then you should work very hard each day, try to multi task and have a balance in your work from programming and trading in the market in order to have more profit monthly from all of your work.

This happens to almost everyone who is both working full time and part time in crypto. If you have a decent job, do not waste it just to go full time on crypto. Just spend your free time learning about crypto, do not sacrifice your job.

In my opinion, Its not good to know that because of bitcoin you will lose your regular job. Its not good to contingent your regular. And lucky enough because your boss give you another job so make sure your regular job did not affect because of bitcoin.

Not really experienced it because I do work at home, however if you want to spend time in learning cryptocurrencies and the like you must do it on your free time or spare time. I know someone who always check on his trading every time he has a break so it wont complicate his job, and I think it is just basically managing your time too.
Yeah you're right. seem you should to have a good time management. You know which one is more priority right? of course the regular job should be the first choice. if you want to learn and deepen about crypto it's not a problem? but you have to adjust it to your working time. do not get rid of work time and you're fired by your boss for that? it will ruin your life

I do not think that it is a good decision to give preference to your crypto currency trading over your job, i think that we can easily manage both our day job as well as crypto trading. Crypto trading is good for making money but still we should not prefer it on our day job, we need to continue our day job and should give proper time to it.

You should know how to manage your time. Doing the first things first would be an effective strategy for you to manage your time. It is important that you know your priorities and that you know what is more important. It is our self control and self discipline that matters.

I also experienced it because I put the crypto first and I lost my time for my work but I realize that I earn much money in crypto rather than to my job so I decided to resign and focus to crypto because your work is not all good to stay with.

I feel you . I  have this sense of guilt while doing the crypto stuff during the office hours. My job is an accountant it's my bread and butter so I can't afford to lost it.  But crypto help me a lot with my difficult financial situation right now so I owe them both and love them both.   For crypto I started to work from 8 pm to 1.00 am and give up my weekend for crypto .  So no operation wil be hampered.

Crypto currencies is too captivating that you lost count of time when you start doing it. We should prioritize what we do in other not to loss what we value. Crypto currencies are made to make life much easier.

That is really hard to believe and aint good thing. If you being careless then obviously it was supposed to happen. The real thing is when we work for our employer or when we are in the field of our working premises then we are lawful bound to terms of employer where we can not spend our time to do another chores as it clearly states that you are trying to manipulate your working environment. This could be distracting to others and thus we should not be doing crypto's in the working place. I think you really got lucky with all scenario but you still staked your reputation.
