The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Like the title says, i almost lost my regular job as a software developer today when my boss reviewed my work. The job has been able to economically provide a comfortable life for me and losing it would really be a big hit to my income. I almost lost it because i spent so much time learning about everything crypto (mining, trading, bounties, etc.).

Has anyone else experienced this? I just feel pretty lucky I was given another chance and want to remind other people that having a regular job is much better than relying on the volatility of cryptocurrencies. Make sure you prioritize your work!

I do not think that will be your success. I think that would be a disadvantage for you. I think you should split the time to do two jobs at the same time. Your current job can increase your monthly income to invest in Crypto. That would be beneficial for both.
If you lose a steady job, you have lost a huge advantage.

Yes, you must be prioritize first your job before others. Because regular job much have a pretty good income, coz in a shortly days you must get a salary from that job. Well, Maybe you can do it both but surely you know how to handle your job first before do your task on cypto.

Yes, you should never quit your job to trade and work with the cryptocurrencies. Even if your first trading experience is great, it does not guarantee that you will succeed further.

so everybody wants to have a good and regular job so do everything in the crypto to let me in, even though there is no certainty about a crypto, sure there is a real job and the coming month I have a certain amount . I'm happy to do my work before I consider the crypto casting and at the same time I'm going to spend on it to double my earnings with that extra money.

you only need to divide your time well, work in the real world and in bitcoin.

I personally also have a job in the real world but I can share my time to work. and so far there are no problems.

Well i am so happy for you, because you dont lost your job and i agree with you that having a regular job is more better because we can not able to earn a stable income with crypto so we should first prioritize our job but off course we should also give time with crypto.

Sometimes at work, it very tempting to do research about crypto and to satisfy our cravings to learn about crypto. However, we know for a fact that we have also deliverables at work because we are paid for it. So what I usually do is I make my daily deliverables and once I have finished everything then I can do some readings about crypto. Making my "to do list" is one way to keep me focus in my regular job. During break time, I can do a bit in crypto then after work.

Yes agree we should not do crypto while at work. This is very unfair to the company some of our workloads will ve affected and that could make us incompetent in our work. So maybe we should manage our time in crypto and our regular jobs.

I think it depends on the work you are working on crypto.Managing our time while part time in crypto must be a good enough for our source of income. We need our permanent job while.in crypto because this is not enough to sustained everything.

The bear market made people realize that crypto can't be sustainable source of income due to the price volatility and the risky nature of crypto coins investment. From other side, leaving crypto forever isn't good decision in my opinion, because you can find other opportunities in other times, the market might change fast and people will come back here to say crypto is the world's best investment.

I still think that people who leave their jobs for the sake of crypto were right in their decisions as early this year crytpo trading was giving a lot of profits to the people and that's why people thought to leave their jobs and concentrate on this crypto. But they did not know that they will have to face more than 6 months of bearish market and they are still waiting for the bull market to come and they can cover their losses.

Quit job because of crypto is not good idea in my opinion.
I read interesting news last year that one family in Holland sold house and bought bitcoin.
Whole family sleep in the car.
I don't think that people should risk so much here.
People, please be smart.
Invest only money you can afford to loose.

I also experienced difficulties with combining my regular job and crypto when I first got into this market.
Thanks god I am self-employed and do not depend on a "boss", so I can easily adjust the amount of time that needs to be spend on a certain working activity.

I have never experienced anything like that. I also work and crypto is my side job. if we do two things crypto and professional work then we must be smart in managing time. we can work on the crypto project after returning from the office. we can use the time to watch movies to work on crypto. and when in the office we don't need to think about crypto we have to focus on our work.

In my opinion, we need to know the right time to avoid being influenced by each other, cryptography is only a side that we can do after the end of our lives and do not worry too much.

When market conditions are skyrocketing like last year many people think that cryptocurrencies are the best opportunity to get rich, even they are many who leave work for crypto so that when the market drop they are regrett.

And when they realized that the market could continue its fall, they made up the minds to return to the stable work. Some people had to find other kinds of jobs but the market lost investors. It is better to combine work and trading.

I've been working as a Hypermarket Produce section manager for 13 years and today is my last working day as that.  Yes, I left my rock solid job but not just because of cryptocurrencies.  Business is doing good back home in my country and my wife needs me to help her manage it.  We also got some pretty good amount of cash being rolled out in a lending cooperative.  Then this cryptocurrency thing that I am in since last year.  I am earning good with my job as a manager but I just do not know why I really left it.  Probably because of that 13 years away from my family and in my country, not literally 13 years away for I am having my vacation annually.  Still I thought 13 years is enough working abroad and might be the right time to do it in the expense of being in my home land now.  I know there is possibility of not getting the same income as better from the job I have left but failure is not an option right now for me for achieving the same or even higher from venturing to other fields.  Just wish me good luck!

OP it's a good thing that it was only an "almost" and not totally. Having a job that you can positively have the benefit of freedom from all the financial worries or hardship, life has to bring is most certainly a blessing. Not all can be given that right set of circumstances. You were undoubtedly "lucky" to wake up to reality soon enough. Although, from time to time we can earn huge in cryptocurrency, that does not change the fact that cryptocurrencies were extremely volatile and completely unpredictable. Let us all be intelligent enough to know the difference of steady from occassionally.

I think that crypto market should be an additional source of income, if you spend all the time there you will lose your main job and face problems if the crypto falls down. Don't do this and take the reasonable decision

I have a reverse view where if I have to focus on something, then I have to concentrate fully, I have learned many things before actually resigning from my main job

indeed, fluctuations and trends that do not meet expectations can occur at any time, but we must be sensitive and take other methods to stay profitable, to be a professional takes a lot of time with the various experiences that must be passed.
