Why the diff change is so chaotic? Net hash rate seems to be stable but diff sometimes jump from < 1 to > 2 and so on...
I've noticed that. I have no idea...

great coin with a good launch and finally a different concept +1 But it has some issues: - The coin is not as rare as it should be
- Difficulty jumps up and down without a reason
Can this be fixed or is this coin lost?

My guess is if it wasn't for the pool mine, it would have been really scarce. In the pool, people are getting rewarded based on their hash rate. That makes it similar to the regular scrypt coins.

how can you see how many coins are already mined if not all blocks give coins?
--edit
strike that, I see it in the block explorer. Seems this coin is not rare at all. About 40% of blocks pay out!!
Wait for the diff rising... +1 Unique concept!!!

What does this mean for miners? This would (probably) deter miners from using GPUs, ASICs, or maybe even full on CPU mining. To be honest if you mine this coin you might want to just set gen=1 in your config file and leave it at that. The more hashing power you pump into the coin won't necessarily give you more anomalies, yes you may solve more blocks but if block# % difficulty doesn't fall between 1 and 0.1 or is exactly 0, you are just burning out your mining rigs. On the other hand the more hashing power you put into the coin the more the coin is potentially worth.
not really. Individual benefit vs. common benefit. So how many coins are there already?

Can this be fixed or is this coin lost? I am looking into the difficulty jumps. Also, I was being a little overzealous when I stated it being the "rarest coin ever". I didn't think it all the way through. Yet this coins rarity directly reflects the popularity of the coin, so the more people on board makes the coin worth more. That being said, the community can make or brake this coin. So if you support this coin I need you to REALLY support the coin and not look at it as a "pump and dump" coin. So how many coins are there already?
We should be around 1000 coins last I checked. But as it has been mentioned multiple times in this thread: The rarity reflects the difficulty. So more miners = higher difficulty = higher rarity = more worth.

I've noticed that. I have no idea... Artifact of retargeting every 2 blocks without Kimoto's Gravity Well. Find 3 in rapid succession and you'll put the difficulty on some insane number.

I've noticed that. I have no idea... Artifact of retargeting every 2 blocks without Kimoto's Gravity Well. Find 3 in rapid succession and you'll put the difficulty on some insane number. Figured it was something like that, I'll look into fixing it and posting an update. I am also thinking of making the tx fee lower (its 0.001 right now) Does anyone have any other suggestions to improve this coin? Can Kimoto's Gravity Well be implemented after launch?
Is there any documentation on this algorithm? All I've found is broken links... I could look into megacoin source but that could take me weeks (or longer) to implement without some good documentation.
