Yes, works good. CGA is highly random. This causes serious up and downs Smiley

Well, if you have a wallet then you have the latest version. There is no new version afaik, on the 4th February 12pm (noon) PST will be a new mandatory release though.

@wzttide. Your CGA address cannot be found on the block explorer. Did not send my donation yet cause I'm afraid it will just be a waste. Can you confirm your address please? Thanks.

So as the difficulty increases the rarity of the coin increases.

I find some problems with this...
First, it means that the devs and early adopters get an unfair share of coins while the difficulty is still low: instamine!
And worst, I'm encouraged to do block withholding!
If I had a super mining rig I'd put it to mine full speed, and if I found a block with 0 reward, it's best for me to delete it instead of publishing it. In this way I can mine without affecting the difficulty, keeping it low and having more chances of finding an "anomaly". Of course there's tx fees, but in the first days those won't be much...

This coin was launched on saturday I believe and was fairly posted. I found it pre-launch and started mining about 30min post launch. So far it has little hash and diff is still the same as it was.

Instamine only happens if the dev sits and mines while no one else connects which definitely did not happen here. Pools were up at the start. If you are going to say stuff at least know wtf you are talking about. Sounds like you are saying "I missed the launch so I guess I'll bash the coin".

I haven't checked today but last night dif was sub 1. This is the best soft launch of a great coin I've ever seen. Just mine and enjoy.

I'm not sure I even understand why gravity well should be added if diff retarget is already every two blocks. I guess just for the novelty of it I just hope it goes ok. It's really a great coin with a great dev.

Whoa! It seems there is a wonderful community adopting CGA!  Grin

@wzttide: You're a saint Wink

Thank you guys for all your support! Now to answer some questions:

We will be holding a logo contest shortly, but need donations for the contest winnings! I will post a link to the thread shortly (it may not take place here at bitcointalk).

If anyone wants to donate there CGA individually (on any site) in order to further the expansion of this coin then be my guest! I do not want to be the "dictator" of this coin (nor do I have the resources to do so).

For the next couple of days I will be working on making full tutorials on how to compile wallets for OSX and Linux (could someone write one for windows? or host a giveaway for one? I would prefer it be on cryptocointalk).

Could you upload wallet to another host? Can't download from github :/

I will be making a sourceforge account today and moving the binaries there.

This is an interesting idea. Is there an easy way to tell how many coins have been minted so far?

Look at the block explorer.

Outstanding column - 50 (genesis block floating in cyberspace) will give you a good estimate.

I've set up a P2Pool for Cryptographic Anomaly at http://cryptographicanomaly.p2p.0x0a.nl:23932 (or for 'short' http://cga.p2p.0x0a.nl:23932). Miners are welcome!

(For those looking for the networks.py values (except SUBSIDY_FUNC because p2pool doesn't pass on diff); the patch is here)

p2p.0x0a.nl for all your Cryptographic Anomaly, Cypherfunks, FryCoin, GameCredits, Gulden, PenguinCoin, and TittieCoin p2pool nodes! Err.. I mean needs! .. Both.

What`s going on with cga.poolnetwork.org? It doesn`t indicate stats properly and there is no payouts for more than three hours.
