That's going to be a thick (and quickly outdated, with all the new coins launching every week) book Please say if any information is incorrect. It lists Poloniex as an exchange - read up a bit, Poloniex is about to de-list MAX.

Can somebody please help me, or advice me to whom to contact for below problem: Yesterday I have sent from wallet 10 MAX to my account at Cryptsy - now, nearly 24 hours later, into the wallet transactions there are 0 confirmations and the coins are not into Cryptsy account of course! Transaction ID is 8a839e69c45074a38748cd16a6ce00f5fee343a93e7244c3e1647b5849172bff-000 What can be the reason??? The wallet is latest version, synchronized and makes 8 connections. I can send screen shots if this can be helpful. Please help me or at least advice to whom to contact! Thanks

Higher hash rates (vertical axis) typically result in more blocks found (more dots along horizontal axis). Density of dots is indicative of luck - closer together is greater luck, further apart is lower luck. Luck is a ratio between % of blocks found and % of network hashrate claimed and should ideally hover around 100%.
Mining and pool takes (indicative, not authoritative)The previous day, 2,879 blocks with an average reward of 48 MAX were found on the network for a total of 126,243.62 MAX distributed. At an average network hash rate of 2,317,589Ghash/s, a miner having 1Ghash/s would have earned approximately 59.6292 MAX (minus pool fees), that could be traded for BTC0.010266955 ($4.6)

Most probably you are running not the latest version of wallet after all. If it is not the case, it is safe to restart the wallet and retry sending as soon as the transaction did not make it to the blockchain: http://max.cryptoexplore.com/search/?s=8a839e69c45074a38748cd16a6ce00f5fee343a93e7244c3e1647b5849172bff

The wallet is latest version - v0.9.1.0 and I restarted the wallet couple of times - without success. I also saw that there is no info into the http://max.cryptoexplore.com/search - but I have - (minus) 10 coins transaction into the wallet transactions - i.e. the coins were sent with transaction ID as I posted above! Should I try with another transaction?

Where to add this '-rescan' command - into the conf file or debug window?

Where to add this '-rescan' command - into the conf file or debug window? It only works as a commandline switch I believe. Here is how to do that for Bitcoin, please adjust for Maxcoin where needed: Assuming you mean WINDOWS 7 you: 1) Create a shortcut for bitcoin-qt on your desktop. 2) Right-click the shortcut and select properties. 3) In the field labeled Target type -rescan on the end.
P.S. default is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Bitcoin\bitcoin-qt.exe" so the target field would end up looking like "C:\Program Files (x86)\Bitcoin\bitcoin-qt.exe" -rescan.

At now about 9 minutes per block, Bitcoin might see ~160 blocks a day on average. Mjollnircoin saw ~700 blocks due to its ~2 minute block time. Maxcoin? 2,863 blocks. That's a lot more to sync with.
Maxcoin blocks are currently much smaller than Bitcoin ones, the full blockchain is about 1.2G with indices. It resyncs from scratch in 1-2 hours without stressing CPU as much. Anyway, the rescan option does not cause blockchain redownload.

Heh, that user actually just re-posted what I wrote in an earlier post - same applies to their other posts. Common tactic for spam bots/etc. if they're told that they need a certain amount of posts before being able to do X (whatever X is). On-topic, though - yeah, the blocks are smaller, so the overall size of the chain is less.. but there's still many more blocks to sync with, with associated overhead. I should run a desync test sometime and get some figures

Any donations will be highly appreciated: mHxH7LCofwjxZttjtVHCXnYR8zrKDfpzqT You missed to point out that Maxcoin uses a different signing curve than any other coins, thus breaking compatibility with a lot of custom wallets. Bitcoin (and almost every other altcoin) uses elliptic curve SECP256 K1 and maxcoin uses SECP256 R1 EDIT: Also, Keccak is anything but ASIC resistant, there are already plentiful FPGA implementations of Keccak and even Intel is including SHA3 optimized instructions on their next gen cores.
