Shit so far Phil is right  that  all  the referrals that  airsquirrels.com  is the parent company of squirrelsresearch.com    come from squirrelsresearch.com

So this is an easy fix  airsquirrels.com just needs to make a reference

on the airsquirrels.com website  that they are the parent company of squirrelsresearch.com

that way the good established company from 2009   vouches  for the unknown new 2018 company not the other way around.

There is no doubt that airsquirrels.com is real and well established.  opened up in 2009

I have yet to find that they endorse squirrelsresearch.com   opened up in 2018

webutation.net of airsquirrels.com

So at op    is it possible  for airsquirrels.com

to mention  it is the parent company of

squirrelsresearch.com

GPUHoarder, I feel for you brother, you are damned if you do, damned if you don't.  If you don't speak of these until you take orders, you are accused of scamming.  If you be transparent about the process and the hurdles you are going through, you are accused of scamming.  Lets keep in mind this is all happening before money is taken and order accepted!

Just because you personally did not receive a direct reply, does not make your concerns 100% valid. David Stanfill is GPUHoarder. That's been confirmed by him multiple times. He is a co-founder of Squirrels, LLC. He has publicly stated many times that Squirrelsresearch.com is endorsed and a sister company to Squirrels. This was all public knowledge for quite a while now. So the press release is nice, but this wasn't rocket science.

So just looking at the materials involved... what drives the price and how long before we see competition bringing lower prices?  I imagine R&D, labor/personnel, maybe some factor for intellectual property is driving the current price.  I also seem to recall somewhere that current prices are very low as it is with sales being made near cost.  Then again, cost for that initial R&D can be quite high and cost for competitors -might- be much lower. The m.2 technology is well known with various articles on the topic.  My guess is more pressure from Samsung and companies like Halong...  Bitmain may remain in their comfort zone... or not.

I clearly explained the problem today he  fixed it today with the press release.

The correct direction of endorsement is now established.  Ie  the corportation/LLC of airsquirrels.com  claims to be the parent company of squirrelsresearch.com

While you may think  is was done correctly before the press announcement made today it was not.

Much to the credit of  David Stanfill and airsquirrels.com  as soon as I voiced my concern in a clear manner  they fixed it.

I would like to tell him I apologize for my lack of clarity  about my concerns.

It is settled and to gpuhoarder thanks again.

GPUHoarder said pcie 3.0 versions of the acorns are being worked on.

Why aren’t all cars on the road lambos?

PCIe 3.0 Chips are significantly more expensive, this is the right place on the cost/value curve today. But it is being worked on.

I'd guess there will be performance improvements with V2 with stable or slightly higher prices.

Imo it doesn't have to be cheap, but it must be priced to beat ROI and risk/reward of buying more GPUs and the added cost of extra/more expensive mobo and cpus.

I have reduced my gpus  so much  that  I would not need  to do anything but  buy these and drop them in.

I have multiple boards  that will do what I need to do.

I am mining btg   which may do better or not since it is the 144.5 algo

I am mining  x16r  which has been said to work better.

There are finally  a few photos.

and the parent company formally  announced it is affiliated with the new company.

So this should be nice to see working in the field.

Due to slot spacing it's not useful for us, but this exists: https://www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/xeon/c600/x10drx.cfm

Thanks to OhGodAGirl I found this thread, now I have some ques to ask, Kristy mentioned that this FPGA will be reducing the load from GPU for GPU demanding Keccak and others part (NonFP ) which most known algorithm uses - ETH/Equi/(ProgPOW if it becomes reality). That means if this can do say Keccak part at 15W then the GPU Power usage will drop significantly - as mentioned by Kristy again. So can you confirm in details? Also your in-house test say for a OC'ed RX580 how much power can you save?

I can understand that exact values are not possible at this point of time, but can you share estimated % on say a RX580? If I buy.... the power part will be the main driver and will help me decide. Would appreciate if you can share some info on this.

The 3 models are present I can understand - what's the diff between using all these three - if you don't talk about the speed then how they differ? Only Diff between these 3 I read was on memory side, how well they will perform from each other?

People who were concerned about the Acorn being a scam IMHO overlooked the above key post. OGAG in my opinion should already have a ton of street cred in the alt mining forum when it comes to GPU mining software/hardware hacks. With this post, my technical bullshit detector went to 0.

Going forward, my advice to people with no to little mining hardware experience is to at most just put a toe in the water and wait for the multi step YT videos on how to work with this stuff. Initial complications will probably revolve around the ususal miner software bugs and the bain of GPU mining, setting up the MB bios.

Normally I would not have bothered to vet this much.

But  I had multiple people ask me via email to check it out.

And every where I looked  endorsements were not in the following direction. Airsquirrels.com(parent) to squirrelsresearch.com (NEW STARTUP)

THERE were multiple people telling me they are real  but I was not able to get the one above until today.  I suppose I need to email

I have a couple of Xeon systems on these boards that I would like to test as well?

Just because you personally did not receive a direct reply, does not make your concerns 100% valid. David Stanfill is GPUHoarder. That's been confirmed by him multiple times. He is a co-founder of Squirrels, LLC. He has publicly stated many times that Squirrelsresearch.com is endorsed and a sister company to Squirrels. This was all public knowledge for quite a while now. So the press release is nice, but this wasn't rocket science.

We already had one FPGA scam (Dwarf) recently and I'm sure there will be others. There is no harm in establishing the identity in more than one way. I've seen David's name mentioned but I don't recall any actual proof and I do follow these FPGA threads. So Phil's concern was 100% valid and now we have something to refer to if this question comes up again.

Look Last time I found a big issue it was GAW miners  I exposed the flaw in their nicehash/westhash miners.   It was the first real chink in their armor and I received multiple emails and pms from them that I considered thinly veiled threats.

We have had multiple scammers this year. right on this site.  I should have been more clear what was bugging me and a as soon as  explained what I found wrong they jumped on it and did do a proper press release .  This is a real indicator that they are legit.  It also means they will be one of the very few USA based mining builders.  I like this and I look forward to playing with this gear.

You are very correct that there is no harm in further establishing identity, and I am all about having multiple confirmations of the information. It just sounded to me that he was saying there was not yet a legitimate confirmation. It has already been well established in this thread that most of the information and activity about these products takes place in the discord. All the facts that I stated have been confirmed via the discord many times. On top of that, this has all been confirmed in the interview that GPUHoarder did.

So please don't take my reply to say that I think the press release is meaningless, I am just expressing that with minimal effort this was easily confirmed. I'm not legendary on these forums, and I'm relatively new to crypto compared to you guys, but I was able to find this information out very easily.
