Acorn M.2 FPGA based GPU Accelerator

I have to say that I am reducing dramatically my GPU mining. It is not worth it (I earn more on Market swings). Down to 4 GPUs at the end of this week. I will possibly put them on NH. I will be cancelling my Acorn purchase (when I finally get an email) so I guess, it is goodbye to you guys. Cheers and good luck

Original anticipated ship dates of your Acorn and/or AcornNest order were missed due to supplier delays. While we cannot provide an exact delivery timeline, we can assure you that we are aggressively working to get your order to you as soon as possible. The delays have been resolved and we expect to have Acorns/Acorn Nests in your hands in the near future.

Yeah I got the email too. I'm probably just going to get a refund now. I was disappointed that they didn't meet the original August deadline and in general how they been doing their updates on here or lack thereof.

im keeping mine, a 2x nest, couple 215+ and a 110. i never counted on even remotely nearing ROI, it was more to have new toys.

but disappointing though. breaking even or better does makes new toys even more fun.

So far no refund so it has been under 1 day I did not expect a fast refund.

Hmm im not sure what to do here, tilting to getting my refund, primary because no info were ever given, there was some discord links but they were expired and i dont have all day long to go pursue where the info is, it should have been here.
I know there is good people behind this project but im not sure they are ready for what they are trying todo.

Well last USA company for mining I used was zen gaw a disaster

And the one before that was BFL another disaster .

I am not saying this company is an intentional fraud like those two were.

I am saying I am tired of waiting and I have yet to see a two minute movie of one of them running on a coin.

I am hoping to be paid the refund in under two weeks. But if I am honest I don’t expect a faster refund.

I agree with you. No matter what any potential gains may be, I grew tired of waiting and "fanboyism" of many supporters of this project. I am happy to take a refund and forget about it.

In an attempt to be fair on my part I am making no comment against squirresresearch.

Just that the order has not been refund or marked cancelled.  or for that matter it has also not been shipped.

It is a holiday weekend so I do not expect to see any action until Tuesday or Wednesday.

Yes I remember the disasters with the GAW and the Butterfly labs. Which is pretty funny considering that they are US based and are subject to prosecution if they failed to deliver unlike the companies in China like Bitmain which actually did deliver products.

I think what happened each and everytime is greed. Basically they developed the miners, decided that profitability would be better if they just sold them to retail users instead of mining themselves. So they started pre-orders, generated funds to get the ASICs chips fabricated and then when they were finally produced and ready for shipment, BTC skyrocketed and they all came out with excuses why the shipments are delayed.

Because for them it was better for them to mine with their ASICs for a few months, generate large sums of BTC and ship the units out later when profitability drops. Basically the same story happened with KnCMiner with their Neptunes and Titan miners.

Bitmain actually shipped the miners on time.
