That is not true. I was banned for wanting to sell my 8x 1070ti rig for 1 fpga 1525. I thought it was a fair trade due to the high demand in refunds and I was willing to trade their risk. They got insulted and banned me. That is unacceptable and I expect more professional behavior if selling expensive products. That's not how you treat your future customers that want to buy in

Yes it was  if you read my polite complaint in bold  just above you will see that I do mention  the extra 1 week delay.

I really hope they do come through with the refunds for all that want them.  And the gear for all that wants the gear.

I'm hedging bets with myself on which product will arrive first,

2 x CLE-215+ boards I ordered on the 8th of this month from Mineority, or a 80mm 7000rpm case fan I ordered 3 days later on New Egg that is coming from China. 

Last tracking stats on my New Egg order is the item's location is at GUANGZHOU EMS CHINA where it was processed 12 days ago.




At this point I doubt either will hit this month, but November looks promising.

I am also glad that you received your refund. I got a slightly smaller amount in BTC than I paid. It is almost exact amount in $. I lost just a little of BTC but negligible. I paid on Mineority and they gave me me back what Acorn price (in $) was. We can now concentrate on other things.

I've played the waiting game on a few next gen items from small manufacturers. Heck I was even one of the small companies once. Delays happen, orders and their changes can over whelm a work load. It's a common thing.  Back in the early 3D printer days the Replicator 1 had a six month delay and the unit ran like crap upon arrival. But with the community doing and sharing mods it's been a multiple ROI machine for me.

Any new edge tech has risk. The do diligents research for the Acorns and the BCU was simple enough I thought. I jumped in with non essential money fully expecting delays because there are way to many things happening for a smooth time line transition. I also have a good feeling the FPGA thing in general will mature nicely so I'm not expect killer returns straight out the gate.  I'd much rather have a late delivered product that works than a unit I need to return do to a manufacturing flaw that was later fixed.

I thing I am disappointing in is the banter within both this forum and the fpga related discord groups. Oh well, dealing with an entitlement based irrational public is why I retired. Thankfully some out there still step up and push forward with a challenging product. That kind of dedication and talent I admire and that's why I opened my wallet.

I got my refund back today, it was almost the same amount but about .005BTC short. I'm just glad they returned my money. It was unfortunate they couldn't release this product on time, but at least some of us can move on.
